Children's hero Fireman Sam returns with a brand-new show: Adventure on Dino Island. Recently, ancient dinosaur bones were found on the island of Pontypandy. The mischievous Norman is thrilled: it means that real dinosaurs lived on the island! Together with his best friend Mandy, he sets out to find more evidence and risks his own life in the process. Fireman Sam and his friends Elvis, Jenny, and Commander Steel must take action to ensure that the young adventurers are safe.

Four candidates have reached the final round of a selection process for an extremely attractive managerial position.
They are faced with a highly unusual application situation: they have to solve different tasks, with the four being completely on their own. Each one must prove themselves without really knowing the purpose of the tasks or what is expected of the candidates.

During the Tango Five era, it was already planned. But it never came to be. Now, the guys from Berta Epple have finally made their dream come true and presented us with a sparkling, swinging, and fragrant Christmas program. The accompanying CD is also "freshly baked" under the tree.

Gregor Hübner, Bobbi Fischer, and Veit Hübner have rearranged their personal favorite Christmas songs, some with new lyrics and harmonized in three voices. The result is a revue where Bavarian devotional yodels stand harmoniously next to soulful grooves, like the ox and donkey in Bethlehem's stable. Jazz ballads alternate with fervent English anthems, sometimes in German, sometimes in English, and finally: also in Swabian! The band members' captivating virtuoso qualities on their instruments are not lacking. (A daring sleigh ride in 7/8 time included!) Finally, the personal experiences with the feast of feasts in the form of funny anecdotes, poems, and stories round off the feast day feast. Berta Epple's show is a gift that you won't want to exchange.

Merry Christmas!

The name of the young, multicultural Berlin folk-jazz quartet LELÉKA means "stork" - the Ukrainian folk symbol for spring and new happiness.

And this is what the band wants to bring to the old Ukrainian songs: new happiness, new colors, a new spring. In this sense, the band led by singer Viktoria Leléka lets traditional Ukrainian songs about work, war, and love sound in a new light. They create a contemporary jazz language that thrives on dynamically grooving passages as well as delicate folk-ballad tones.

The band, founded in 2016, has been awarded multiple times:
First place at the Burghausen Junior Jazz Prize 2018, 2nd place at the Munich Jazz Prize 2019, nominated as Band of the Year 2022 for their album Sonce u Serci (Sun in the Heart).
In 2023, the album Rizdvo was released, where the band envelops Ukrainian Christmas songs in a new, modern sound.

According to author Ralf Dombrowski, LELÉKA is one of the "111 reasons to love jazz".

The main building of the State Kunsthalle Karlsruhe is closed for extensive renovation. However, significant parts of the collection are now visible to the public again – as guests at the ZKM | Karlsruhe.

The Kunsthalle showcases paintings and sculptures spanning from the late Middle Ages to the present on around 2000 sqm – a cross-section of the collection featuring popular masterpieces by Matthias Grünewald and Hans Baldung Grien, by Rembrandt, Rubens, and Chardin, by Cézanne, Gauguin, and Beckmann, Max Ernst, René Magritte, and Joan Miró, as well as works by Gerhard Richter, Pia Fries, and Karin Sander.

We long to be touched! How often does that happen in the decaying temple of theater? A theater anniversary is a good moment for an analysis of the effectiveness of theater. Polly Lapkovskaja alias POLLYESTER and her team create a sensual study between the disciplines of performance, music, literature, digital art, and video. Music and sound take precedence over text, and time dissolves into hypnotic images. A delicate encounter between human bodies and avatars. As a musician and performer, POLLYESTER has already graced many stages in the republic, most recently in "Das Schloss" at the Residenztheater in Munich, where she accompanies herself on the electric bass singing "quicksilver future ballads in falsetto, very very beautiful," as the Süddeutsche Zeitung writes. For her first independent direction, she collaborates with video artist Mikko Gaestel and ventures into a new genre - a speculative fabulation.

Encounter of two worlds: In the musical highlight "Tarzan," the audience experiences a breathtaking jungle adventure together with the title hero. Spectacular original compositions, plenty of excitement, and a touch of romance provide an entertaining live experience for the whole family!

Unforgettable musical show
The renowned theater Liberi, known for its modern family musicals, stages the hundred-year-old story by Edgar Rice Burrough in a contemporary version. Imaginative costumes, a playful, colorful set, and atmospheric lighting effects create the jungle world where Tarzan resides. Musically, the audience is taken on a diverse journey through different genres that impress with impressive arrangements and great emotions. A highly trained ensemble ensures that characters, music, and scenery on stage merge into a unique whole.

Exciting adventures in the jungle
A young family suffers shipwreck and - barely stranded on the African coast - is attacked by wild animals. Left behind is a little boy who is taken in and raised by the she-ape Kala, orphaned like her own child. But even though Tarzan finds a home among the apes and a good friend in the ape girl Tea, the leader Kerchak makes him feel that he does not truly belong with them even after years. The feeling of still having to find his place in the world gets stronger when Tarzan encounters humans for the first time. Professor Porter, his curious daughter Jane, and the shady Olivia Clayton are on an expedition to explore the jungle. Over time, Tarzan and Jane grow closer, but then events take a dramatic turn, and Tarzan and his ape family face great danger…

The Friesian-bitter experience

The brewery tour begins with a knowledgeable guided tour through the historic brewery museum and through our modern brew house from the brewing plant to the bottling, where up to 60,000 bottles are filled per hour.
The ongoing bottle filling is very likely on weekdays, but due to possible maintenance, cleaning, and setup work, this is not guaranteed in every case.
Especially on Friday afternoons and Saturdays, the bottling is relatively likely not to be in operation. We ask for your understanding in advance.

After the tour, we offer a tasting (30 minutes) of our Jever beers with a choice of two glasses of Jever Pilsener, Jever Fun, Jever Fun Lemon, Jever Fun Blood Orange, or Jever Light for everyone aged 16 and over. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available.
In addition, our brewery taproom serves a homemade snack and presents a souvenir.
For children and teenagers (up to 15 years), a soft drink and a small snack will be served.

One last word:
Safety is very important to us. We ask that during the tour, you strictly follow the instructions of the brewery guides. Wearing sturdy footwear and carrying an umbrella in bad weather is recommended. As a precaution, we would like to point out that our brew house is not wheelchair accessible. There are longer walking paths and stairs to navigate. Therefore, the tour is unfortunately not suitable for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users.

How about a visit to our Jever Shop? Just a few steps from our brewery, you will find everything a Jever fan desires. We are open from 10 am to 6 pm from Monday to Friday and from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.

Welcome to the realm of knowledge in the Baroque era: Stepping onto creaking floorboards into the quiet grandeur of our historical library hall, one is immediately enveloped by the collective knowledge of the Early Modern period. Like stage sets in a Baroque theater, the original bookshelves jut into the space, housing around 50,000 books from all fields of knowledge. Behind unassuming book spines lie remarkable treasures, such as the first German Bible printed in America.

At the end of the 17th century, the orphanage's library was established as one of the first public libraries in Germany. Primarily through donations, book exchanges, and their own publications, the library grew so rapidly that within a few years, it was comparable to significant German university libraries. In 1728, it received its own building, which is considered the oldest surviving secular library structure in Germany. Not only in recent times has the library been visited by guests and researchers from around the world: Albrecht von Haller, Johann Joachim Winckelmann, and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe all admired its bibliophilic treasures. We present a selection of them for you in rotating cabinet exhibitions in the former reading room of the library.

The Art and Natural History Chamber is considered the oldest German museum room. It was established by August Hermann Francke for educational purposes and is now once again set up according to the original museum concept of the 18th century in its historical location in the attic of the Historical Orphanage.

Eighteen richly decorated collection cabinets house approximately 3000 natural specimens, curiosities, and artifacts. They provide a unique impression of a Baroque cabinet of curiosities. Unlike modern museums, the chamber follows an encyclopedic collecting approach. A distinction is made between natural specimens and artifacts. The natural specimens are divided into rocks, plants, and animals, while the artifacts are categorized into visual arts, calligraphy, coins, everyday culture, and clothing. The goal was to create a mirror image of the world: a microcosm that made the macrocosm as the wonderful creation of God tangible.

In a series of events, art projects take place around the Art and Natural History Chamber. In the so-called "Contemporary Reflections on the Art and Natural History Chamber," foundations invite artists to engage in an artistic dialogue with the chamber.
