So Beautifully Broken
Music-cabaret show about a country in transition You wake up in the morning and ask yourself: has this country gone crazy - or is it me who's nuts? And who messed all this up? A student apartment costs as much per month as a small car, school books are only available as audiobooks now because third graders can't read properly, and the train is somewhere lost in the radio wave nirvana.
Whether it's the rental madness, educational catastrophe, or construction site bingo- the market doesn't regulate anything, and the only thing that keeps growing is inequality. Because your money isn't gone - it just belongs to someone else now.
Sandra Jankowski and Frank Klaffke analyze the situation in their virtuoso music-cabaret show: humorously, critically, emotionally, and with a strong dose of insight. When these two multi-talents let their creativity run wild, anything can happen on stage: captivating live songs, funny sketches, and clever punchlines.
When politicians hug trees and deal with feminist mask politics, when the super-rich fly to Mars or get frozen like fish sticks- one thing is clear: we must take matters into our own hands.
Germany is in many ways now a developing country. And we all know that in developing countries, people are happy even if they have nothing. So now we have the chance to become a happy nation as well. In this show, you'll become the perfect tenant who gets every apartment, you'll learn how premium retirement works, and we'll show you how to easily navigate through train cancellations, school disasters, and social media madness. This program is perfect for those who haven't inherited anything sensible and who no longer want Olaf Scholz's snoring as their ringtone.
In a diverse mix of cabaret, sketches, and original songs with singing and piano, Sandra Jankowski and Frank Klaffke are the ultimate remedy for a country on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Humorous, critical, emotional, and occasionally even quite wicked. Their motto: Laugh, think, and maybe even - Act! Because what's broken doesn't have to stay broken. You are not alone!
About Us
Since 1997, Sandra Jankowski and Frank Klaffke have been at home on countless stages across the country as cabaret artists, actors, and musicians. As artists, they are always on the move: they travel with backpacks through China and turn it into a stage show, shed light on the refugee crisis with a stage adaptation of the cult film "Casablanca," or bring the history of IG Metall to the stage in a multimedia way. Music is always a part of it: self-written chansons and piano cabaret are their second passion. Not only in private but also on stage, they are a "perfectly coordinated pair - a top-class duo full of cunning, wit, and musicality that enthuses the audience. They prove the full range of their skills during every minute: accompanied by Frank Klaffke on the piano, Sandra Jankowski's stunning voice matches her acting talent." Heilbronner Stimme After studying acting in Berlin and engagements at various city theaters, they founded the "Theater Sturmvogel" in Reutlingen in 1999, which has received multiple awards. Their 20 productions tour theaters, town halls, and cabaret stages throughout the year. Beyond the stage, they are socially and politically active- for example, jointly with other artists, they founded the socio-cultural cultural center 'franz.K' in Reutlingen. Sandra and Frank live in Berlin and Reutlingen.
