Ebeneser's world is shrinking: Since his parents have lost their jobs, everything is getting smaller – the opportunities, the apartment, and finally even father and mother themselves. Sammy is already familiar with this; with her, Ebeneser can share the "Because we can't afford it" experiences. Along with TicTac candies, stories and fantasies, anger and courage. And when the "Because we can't afford it" even costs them the longed-for school trip, the two decide not to let themselves be made small, but to loudly remain silent. The award-winning children’s play uses fine humor and strong imagery to protest (quietly) against disappearance and silence, celebrating a wonderful friendship.



RAVEN RUËLL

(*1978 in Knokke, Belgium) studied theater directing at RITCS in Brussels, where he has also taught since 2001. He is an actor, author, and director, has been teaching at the Conservatory in Liège since 2006, and has also received multiple awards for his plays, like Sobrie.



JAN SOBRIE

(*1979 in Ghent) studied acting at the RITS theater school in Brussels. He works as an actor and writes plays in which he also performs. He was awarded the Dutch-German Children's and Youth Theater Award Kaas & Kappes with "Wutschweiger" for the third time in 2009. The first joint work of both authors also won the Youth Theater Prize Baden-Württemberg in 2020.

The Enz used to play an important role in the tannery industry in Vaihingen. It provided the necessary water. Until its relocation in the 1950s, the mill channel branched off from it also served as a transport route between the tanneries located there and the tannery mill. With a boat, the ground bark, which was used for leather processing, was transported via the canal to the tanners. The tour is intended to commemorate this old tradition. Riding on the Lohkahn provides a unique view of the historically significant city by the river.

The journey takes place even in rainy weather.

Trio 21meter60

The ensemble "Trio 21meter60," awarded the OPUS KLASSIK in 2022, consists of the three tubists Constantin Hartwig, Steffen Schmid, and Fabian Neckermann.
The trio was founded in 2016 as part of the Federal Selection Concerts for Young Artists (BAKJK), a support program of the German Music Council. Subsequently, in its first concert season, the ensemble achieved the great surprise of performing over 35 concerts nationwide with this previously completely unknown formation and captivating audiences.
The young musicians have made it their mission to dispel prejudices about their instrument and to prove that chamber music can be performed with three tubas. There are no limits to creativity in this regard: in original arrangements, the ensemble explores the possibilities of the tuba and draws from the entire repertoire of the last 500 years. Familiar pieces in a new context, serious themes approached playfully, a serious demeanor with a wink – a balancing act that the three tubists masterfully accomplish.
The press confirms the ensemble's concept, stating: "Bravo – keep it up!"

With "Tanzmusik durch die Zeiten," the Freiburg Senior Salon Orchestra FSSO makes the development of dance music audible over a period of 400 years. In addition to short saltarellos of the Renaissance, we play small Ländlers up to the concert waltz of the late 19th century, Musette in the French style or waltzes with Spanish influences. Tango, Rumba, and Samba from South America, as they also became popular in Europe, are on our program, as well as Foxtrot, which conquered the dance floors. Thus, dance music is a mirror of the spirit of the times, decorum, and joie de vivre.

Jeremy, a passionate journalist, has set out with his camera woman to chase a promising story for his report. On eerie paths, they stumble upon the dark castle of Countess Viktoria, with whom Jeremy wants to conduct an interview. However, contrary to expectations, the dark estate harbors a colorful group of vampires, who, after their initial desire to drink the two humans dry, involve Jeremy and his assistant in their daily lives.
But then the tranquility in the castle is disrupted when Geneve, the representative of the Vampire Regulatory Council, arrives with her assistant Elise to oversee compliance with the prevailing regulations for vampires. Regulations of which most vampires are not even aware: drinking from children is prohibited, playing with one’s food is not allowed, and to better integrate castle ghosts, every vampire castle must host at least one.
Absorbed in their duties, Geneve does not yet suspect that she will encounter a familiar face in the castle.
Suddenly, all castle dwellers are confronted with a previously hidden past; and with a law enforcer who, to gain revenge, has no qualms about disregarding her beloved laws.

With music to chuckle, celebrate, and reflect on for the crew on the front seats and the backseat of the family car, Anton casually invents a new genre: FAMILY POP.
On his debut album "caught," Anton talks about mistakes that happen, future dreams that everyone is allowed to have, and that everyone has a right to their own mind and thoughts.

The main building of the State Kunsthalle Karlsruhe is closed for extensive renovation. However, significant parts of the collection are now visible to the public again – as guests at the ZKM | Karlsruhe.

In the cultural center Alte Weberei, a family day with a concert for children and families will take place on Sunday, 20.10.2024 starting at 11:30 am.

When children's rooms turn into XXL stages, stuffed animals stage dive, and mom and dad are live present when dancing, singing, and celebrating, then only one person can be at work. Because herrH alias Simon Horn is more than a typical children's songwriter. HerrH is a thorough musician, friend, first idol, and a solid (musical) family member. He provides the ultimate family soundtrack and sees the world not only through the eyes of children but also hears it through children's ears - which brings us to his secret recipe, with which he has been winning the hearts of his small and big fans for ten years now.

A musical comedy in honor of Heinz Erhardt & Peter Alexander
Hits and poems non-stop
They were the show stars since the economic miracle years up to the 1980s! Peter Alexander, the entertainer and actor with Viennese charm and infinite talent. Everyone knows his film classics like "The White Horse Inn," his countless hits like "Die kleine Kneipe," "Schwarzes Gold" or "Der Papa wird’s schon richten." His big Saturday night shows were also legendary, world stars lined up and his comedic talent, when he parodied Hans Moser or the English royal family, is unparalleled!
Heinz Erhardt, a jack-of-all-trades on stage, comedian, actor, singer, and cabaret artist. Offstage, he wrote poems by the book that everyone knows to this day. Under the motto "Another poem" or "What kind of rascal am I today", he captivated generations and stood as a representative of the typical man of the economic miracle era.
Now there is finally the live show that pays tribute to both legends of German entertainment history!
"This show is a homage, a red carpet, and will remember these two wonderful artists with honor," says initiator and Peter Alexander performer Peter Grimberg (from Steyr). "We will present a fireworks display of good cheer. The greatest Peter Alexander hits will not be missing, just as the funniest sketches won't!"
