Didier Eribon, acclaimed author (“Returning to Reims”), philosopher, and sociologist, embarks on a search for traces in his just published latest essay.
In search of his mother, who, having just moved into a nursing home, suddenly passes away. He, the son and author, had actually intended to visit her there more often. Now, however, the writing quest for her past begins: for life, aging, and death.
Eribon confronts us with our own repression of the living conditions of elderly people and death, and he shows in a sensitive way how important our own family history is for our lives. He dives in and gently unfolds the complex life of his mother, a life in the French working class.
It is the reconstruction of a life that had to confine itself even in dreams, although his mother would have loved to become a race car driver.

For all people aged 15 and over who would like to take up the resistance to counter structural grievances.

After the plays "Goggelores", "Achtung Oma!", "Erwin - a pig's life", "Heaven, ass and thread", "Watzmänner" and "Ur-Rumbelstilzje", the new play "The file Schneewittchen" will now be on display!
It is performed by the "old troupe" with Roland Hotz, the theater founder. Since he will be retiring in the coming years, this is one of his last plays!
"Schneewittchen", a gem in the German fairy tale treasure, is known to everyone. However, the fact that this story is full of criminal energies is likely completely unknown. The wicked stepmother is only superficially envious of Schneewittchen's beauty; much more decisive is her greed for the substantial inheritance. From inheritance scheming to a murder plot, the case of "Schneewittchen" has everything to offer. The Kikeriki Theater now finally uncovers the true backgrounds and depths of this vile play. So be prepared that you will certainly not hear a "fairy tale" here.

Why do people seek adventure in extreme situations? Skydiving on Mondays, bungee jumping on Tuesdays, swimming with piranhas on Wednesdays! John Doyle wonders, "Do I want that too?" only to quickly realize, "Hey, life is adventurous enough. I recently dislocated my kneecap just from sneezing!"

Sure, the desire for adventures is within all of us. "But when you're over 40, it's already a small adventure each time to trim your toenails accident-free while sitting on the edge of the bathtub!"

John Doyle is one of the best stand-up comedians in Germany, having appeared on numerous TV shows and radio programs. When he casually and sympathetically recounts daily life, there's no holding back. With his blend of lightness and depth, always uproariously funny, this German-American from New Jersey has made a name for himself.

"If you want more adventure, I recommend: just talk to your spouse at home again or call grandma and ask if she's still alive."

"Life is adventurous enough" is perhaps John Doyle's best show, definitely his most personal. Look forward to it. The actors of the play will take you on a musical journey through various decades. Entertaining and moving songs that deal with the ever-present theme of love in music as well as the idea of resistance engage in dialogue with various texts, poems, manifestos, and thoughts. CIAO, BELLA, CIAO! is an invitation for everyone aged 13 and over to meet each other and experience the power of music together.

Who would have thought around 20 years ago that one could conquer the cabaret and comedy stages of the country with "Scherereien" and perfect Hessian? In 1998, Johannes Scherer went on tour for the first time, then alongside his congenial partner and radio colleague Robert Treutel ("Bodo Bach"). Four years later, Scherer released his first solo show "Scherereien," for which he was nominated for the prestigious cabaret award "Prix Pantheon." Over the years, five more successful solo programs followed from the TV and radio moderator.
In 2019, it was time for an extensive "BEST OF" tour, where Scherer, born in 1973 in Alzenau-Wasserlos and raised in Schöllkrippen in the Aschaffenburg district, celebrates his 20th stage anniversary and takes his fans on a journey through his previous shows. In his usual manner, he presents a varied mix of stand-up, cabaret, and parody from the solo programs "Scherereien," "Scherereien 2.0 Reloaded," "Dumm klickt gut," "Asoziale Netzwerke," and the current program "Keinangsthasen."
In his more recent programs, Johannes Scherer parodies less often and instead brings relevant topics to the stage. He ruthlessly takes on insecure consumers, automatic friend-finders, concerned citizens, radical Thermomix enthusiasts, and all others who leave their communication trash everywhere unsolicited and unnecessarily.
Additionally, the guys from the "DFB-Kantine" will speak again, his favorite Italian Luigi, and the now-retired Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, to whom Johannes Scherer lent his more or less German voice in the 2007 movie "The Simpsons."
