At the Chamber Music Matinee on September 15th, you can expect classical chamber music at its finest presented by various ensembles of musicians from Bad Herrenalb. In continuation of the Piano Duo Festival, many hands will sound on several pianos. The program will also include works for flute, accordion, cello, and vocals. Look forward to pieces such as Waltz No. 2 by Shostakovich, Libertango by Piazzolla, Variations on "La ci darem la mano" by Mozart, Winter by Vivaldi, Hungarian Dances by Brahms, and songs by Franz Schubert.

Performers include Makitaro Arima (bass baritone and piano), Katja Collatz (flute), Reiko Emura (piano), Josef Gomolka (cello), Rüdiger Husemeyer (tenor), Maria Korb (accordion), Miriam Kurrle (soprano and piano), Reinhard Schöller (cello), Axel Traub (accordion and piano), and as a special treat, Pastor Matthias Weingärtner (piano), who completed a music degree before his theology studies!

Even a seasoned marriage is not immune to surprises. For example, when the wife’s ex suddenly shows up at the door.
1995: Julian pompously marries his Laura, even if this triggers ominous premonitions in mother-in-law Susanne. The groom does carry his reputation as a gigolo into the marriage. 2017: Susanne was not wrong with her prophecies, but Laura and Julian put effort into daily relationship maintenance, for the sake of their teenage daughters Leonie and Sarah. Then Laura's ex-love Frank appears, who has made a successful career and fortune overseas. Ostensibly selflessly, he helps Laura and Julian deal with the financial difficulties of their dance school, the couple's life project. Julian suspects something is wrong and wants to keep his wife away from Frank. With this jealousy, the husband achieves exactly the opposite: Laura and Frank not only establish business relations.
Parallel to the marital chaos of their parents, daughter Sarah experiences similar things with her new love Max: Clinging in love does not bring the hoped-for results. Julian translates his daughter's insights into saving his marriage: He gives his wife the space for her own decisions and can win her back.
“95 – Ninety-Five” is a love letter to a past time that touches all generations.

40 youthful performers take you on a journey through time and transport you into a musical world filled with great emotions, wit, and lots of humor. The ensemble sings, dances, and acts in this full-length work at the Fautenbach Sports and Events Hall, which transforms once again into a "musical hall" during the five performances.

The result of an impressive encounter between two singers and two guitarists who have found each other through their passion for music. Their connection is unmistakably reflected in harmonious sound and emotional performance. This refreshing formation of talented musicians brings a sparkling mix of pop, rock, funk, groove, and acoustic magic to the stage, inviting the audience to an unforgettable listening experience. With their sensitive interpretation and acoustic sound, they give each song a new dimension that extends across a diverse repertoire. Kaddi and Sabrina, whose voices complement each other fascinatingly, are known for their special performances and their ability to tell stories through their songs. In collaboration with the two guitarists, an evening with Acoustic Fusion promises a night full of captivating musical experiences.

Relaxed tour through Strasbourg's lesser-known neighborhoods, accompanied by fascinating background stories and special culinary recommendations. After the tour, there is the optional possibility to end the evening in an Alsatian restaurant.

Event within the framework of the Intercultural Week of the district of Rastatt with the illustrator and storyteller Mehrdad Zaeri tells stories in the Persian tradition. These stories may be true or invented. From an unidentifiable tangle of lines and spots that he throws onto the paper with his eyes closed, a seemingly perfect illustrated story gradually emerges at the audience's request. The audience can help decide whether the story ends happily or sadly, if there is a side drama, or if the illustration even tells a crime story. He will also share stories from his illustrated books on this evening. The stories revolve around life with all its facets. The artist always ends with addressing serious questions about war and peace, faith, home, politics, terrorism, or democracy.

"Lightness" is the only word that remains after Mehrdad Zaeri's storytelling and drawing session. When it's over, the audience, whether a child or a senior, lightly leaves the room and tries to capture that feeling of floating on clouds.

Some musical instruments that belonged to Simplicissimus in his time have survived in altered forms to this day, e.g. the trombone and the trumpet; some have become extinct. The exhibition showcases a selection of instruments from the collection of the multi-instrumentalist and instrument collector Franz Schüssele, known for his music group "Gälfiässler." Weather permitting, the musicians will perform in historical costumes.

At each concert, you have the opportunity to purchase a detailed program at the box office. In addition to the final order in which the pieces will be performed that evening, the program also contains the individual movement titles and interesting information about the composers. The price is 50 cents.

Jay Alexander is one of the most popular and charismatic artists in the German music scene, regularly inspiring enthusiasm with the warm timbre of his unique tenor voice.

For over 20 years, with Marshall & Alexander, he has sold out venues across Germany, received Gold CDs, and awards such as the "Goldene Henne." In his own concerts, the tenor with the radiant voice successfully explores the boundaries between classical and popular music. "When I sing, I feel freedom, energy, strength, and the magic of life" – pure emotion and passion that can be felt with every note sung and every small gesture made by Jay Alexander.

In his concert at the Klosterkirche in Bad Herrenalb, the audience can expect a mixed program. The singer uses the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant hymnal, which also falls this year, to compile his personal favorites of church songs. Well-known songs like "Lobe den Herren" or "Geh aus, mein Herz" from his eponymous Number 1 successful album in the German classical charts will be performed, as well as classical arias and titles from his extensive crossover repertoire.

The men's choir Liederkranz Bad Herrenalb e. V. will be included in the anniversary concert with their "Singing Monks." These concert evenings are a matter of the heart for Jay Alexander, which is why he personally leads the evening. This is both to be closer to his audience and to better share his perspective on the individual songs with the people. Jay Alexander will be accompanied on the piano by his longtime musical companion, pianist Juna Tcherevatskaia. Eight soloists from three generations will showcase their talents on Saturday, September 21 at 7 PM in the Günter-Bimmerle-Halle.

The spectrum of Sextakkord ranges from classical to rock and pop to world music. As diverse as the literature of the ensemble is, so different is its composition.

Felicitas Klenert and Frank Renschler are the voices of the ensemble. Founding member Tatjana Schlegel demonstrates her skills on the piano, while Mathias Bär captivates with his excellent drumming. Max Fässler joined as a guitarist, and Christian Schmiederer plays a wide variety of saxophones and clarinets. Andreas Höhn is responsible for the bass. The ensemble is rounded out with founding member Joe Fässler. The well-traveled musician plays a wide range of percussion instruments and also contributes with his trumpet and recorder performances on stage.
