With their "That´s Alright Tour 2024," THE BASEBALLS were originally set to rock stages in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands starting from September 26, 2024, to celebrate their 15th anniversary. However, the tour must be postponed to 2025 due to an injury sustained by Basti. New concert dates have already been found, and previously purchased tickets remain valid for the respective replacement dates. This way, all ticket holders still have the opportunity to experience THE BASEBALLS live. The album "That´s Alright" is scheduled to be released on September 27, 2024.
Frontman Basti has suffered a serious fall and injured his shoulder, making the tour impossible to carry out at this time. "The doctors' diagnosis leaves us no choice but to postpone the tour. It was, of course, a real shock. But after discussing with Sam, the band, and our team, we have come to the decision that a postponement is the only sensible option," says Basti. He adds, "I will now do everything to recover quickly so that we can celebrate in spring 2025 as a The Baseballs show deserves."
Bandmate Sam adds, "My heart bleeds, because we were all really looking forward to playing the tour and rocking out with the fans. But Basti must be 100 percent fit for that, because health comes first - Basti, get well soon! Together with our amazing fans, we will shake the stages with 'That’s Alright' starting in April 2025!"

When seasoned stage professionals from all over Germany compete with local talents in a battle of words, Poetry Slam is on the agenda. This format offers an immense variety: poetry, comedy, rap, short stories, prose, and everything in between.

Breathtaking alliterations are accumulated, symbolic synonyms are collected, and incomparable comparisons are made. All of this until every hyperbole gets dizzy and the audience is completely thrilled! Ultimately, the audience decides who wins the verbal duel and gets to take home the "golden comb."

The rules for participants are simple: only self-written texts, no props or costumes, six minutes speaking time. The evening is hosted by the Rhineland-Palatinate Poetry Slam Champion "Phriedrich Chiller."

Lulu grew up like many German Sinti at the time still in a caravan. He comes from a family with a long musical tradition. Oskar Weiss taught him to play the guitar at his music school. The young Lulu was often taken along to performances where they played for food and tips. According to Lulu Weiss, the experiences of this time had a strong impact on him and left significant marks on his musical development. The repertoire of the Lulu Weiss Ensemble is mainly stylistically oriented towards Jazz Manouche, a completely new jazz style created by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli in Paris in the 1930s and 1940s, which was influenced by American jazz musicians and traditional Sinti music. In addition, the ensemble plays songs from the chanson tradition, Afro-American jazz, jazzy interpretations of old German hits, Valse Musette classics, variations of classical music, and original compositions, mostly written by Lulu. The ensemble includes guitarists Lulu Weiss and Lolo Reinhardt, soprano saxophonist Sergio Enrique Parra, and double bassist Nello Weiss. A characteristic feature of the Lulu Weiss Ensemble is that the violinist, which is obligatory in Sinti music, is replaced by a saxophonist. In addition to working with the ensemble, Lulu Weiss is also a sought-after soloist and can already look back on numerous national and international engagements.

Peter Neururer enters a new stage
The German coaching icon will go on tour with his own program starting Summer 2024.
“Schweigen ist feige” is the title of the 90-minute show in which Neururer shares stories from the life of a Bundesliga coach: funny, profound, full of exciting anecdotes - but always authentic. Just as we know Peter.
TuS Haltern, Westfalia Weitmar, Rot-Weiß Essen, Alemania Aachen, FC Schalke 04, Hertha BSC, 1.FC Saarbrücken, Hannover 96, 1. FC Köln, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Kickers Offenbach, LR Ahlen, VfL Bochum, MSV Duisburg. These are the clubs that Peter Neururer has coached between 1984, his first station, and 2014, his last station. His most successful time was with VfL Bochum, between 2001 and 2005, leading them to the UEFA Cup. Those who remember Peter Neururer think of a person who is hardly imaginable in today’s active football business. Neururer has always been straightforward; he says what he thinks and remains authentic. This has not only always been well received by the players but also brings him great popularity in the country to this day.
Today, Neururer is known as a TV expert and a popular guest on football talks, where viewers hang on his every word. Neururer is never short of an opinion. He has known the business for over 30 years, has worked with numerous traditional clubs in Germany, and is well connected.
If you spend more time with him, you'll be bombarded with anecdotes from the life of the former Bundesliga coach. Sometimes it's hard to believe that certain things happened as they did. And you quickly learn about the funny and likable coach from a whole different side, revealing that he is just a human too.
Starting next summer, the positively crazy Neururer dares to take on a new adventure and will perform his first own program in various theaters across the country. His program, named “Schweigen ist feige!”, will be a mix of entertaining lecture and interaction with the audience. Just like in football: 90 minutes, two halves. While the first 45 minutes are filled with adventures from his coaching career, the audience in the second half will have the opportunity to engage directly with the cult coach and finally get answers to their own questions - in keeping with the motto: Silence is cowardice.
“Even today, direct contact with people is important to me. You can always approach me, ask me any question. There is always an answer from me,” Neururer says. “I have never shied away from new challenges. That’s why I’m really looking forward to the next adventure. In recent years, I have already tested the program at events. The feedback was great. Now we want to get it right.” Together with Sinan Heesen from Heesen Konzerte as well as Jonas Onstein and Soleil Ndongala from the agency zwoelfstein, he has assembled a team that supports him in his endeavor.

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy referred to his second symphony for orchestra, choir, and vocal soloists as "symphony-cantata." The work bears the subtitle "Lobgesang."

Mendelssohn's "Lobgesang" has a mixed history. The first performance in 1840 at the Leipzig Thomaskirche took place on the occasion of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the art of printing. The audience was enthusiastic. While Richard Wagner mocked the "Lobgesang," it was outright rejected by others, who accused Mendelssohn of an "unwarranted" resemblance to Beethoven's Ninth.
The text of the work was compiled by the composer from biblical quotations as well as the Protestant church hymn "Nun danket alle Gott." Three main themes emerge: - the praise of God, - God's faithfulness, and - the salvation of God's people from darkness into light. Especially the latter theme is forcefully highlighted by Mendelssohn, as it allows him to link the biblical themes as the occasion for the work: The development of printing and Gutenberg's first printed Bible are interpreted as the key event that leads Christianity from the dark age of ignorance into a new era of enlightenment.

The performances of the Protestant choirs in the region are always part of the Otterberg Abbey Church Concerts and present the highest musical enjoyment with excellent soloists and orchestras.

Men, colds, and other ailments: That's what it's about when the Boulevard Theater Deidesheim comes to the community center in Ruppertsecken on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the invitation of the Arts and Culture Association RVC-Events. With the play “Loss mer moi Ruh” there is Palatinate theater comedy. A pre-holiday evening in the highest village of the Palatinate with a witty, charming, cheeky look at suffering men – right in the middle of the midlife crisis, before and after surviving a spa treatment.

Just halfway through life, the first ailments set in. Rheumatism plagues the joints, herniated discs due to the hard work of the past years, or even high blood pressure from constant stress. What is the end of the song?

Of course, this also applies to Gallen-Günther and Fettleber-Franz – two (severely) suffering men and completely different types, who meet day in and day out after exhausting rehab treatments on their already (almost) reserved bench in the picturesque spa park.

Of course, with so many fellow sufferers in the clinic, it first needs to be clarified who suffers the most, who swallows the most pills, and not to forget: who has the prettiest therapist and thus is ahead in the midlife crisis competition. To that, one can only say: “Los mer moi Ruh - no doctor can help anymore!”
