While Chief Inspector Isidor Riegele and his overzealous intern Julia Häppchen analyze the revealing notebook of the murder victim, another murder occurs. A tough nut for the inspector. Many clues, many suspects... and yet nothing adds up to a convincing solution. That's when his intern makes a crucial discovery. Our comedic thriller skillfully combines suspense with humor and will entertain the audience that tries to solve the mystery.

Patricia is dragged to a dinner by her boyfriend, with whom she has had a fierce argument, where she knows no one. Angry, she decides not to say a word all evening, which leads the hosts to believe she is a foreigner.

As soon as the misunderstanding becomes apparent, Patricia joyfully joins in the game with devilish delight. She invents a fantasy language and claims to have fled from a civil war country.
While her boyfriend Christoph sinks into the ground out of shame, the evening begins to become interesting for Patricia amid donations and pity...

With a Jazznight on October 11, the Jazzfestival Rastatt makes its return and invites you to the Reithalle Rastatt with the Thomas Siffling Quintett.
Thomas Siffling is considered one of the most established and successful jazz musicians of his generation in the German-speaking world. With his distinctive velvety trumpet sound and lyrical playing style, he undoubtedly ranks among the most significant representatives of the German nu-jazz lounge scene and has made a name for himself through countless celebrated performances in the most renowned jazz clubs and at jazz festivals both domestically and abroad. He repeatedly crosses musical boundaries and ventures into electronic music.
Providing the right groove is jazz drummer Konstantin Kölmel, who has already made waves with his young band at the past Rastatt Jazz Festivals. He is also the creative force and artistic director of the jazz festival.

The Sonus Quintet was founded in 2021 as one of the first reed quintets in Germany, composed of clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon. With “Sonus,” which means sound in German, the ensemble has made it its mission to create a completely novel, unique, and incomparably homogeneous chamber music sound. Just within the first months after its establishment, the Sonus Quintet celebrated successes: the first prize at the Tiziano Rossetti International Music Competition, the second prize at the Luigi Cerritelli International Music Competition, the second prize at the Rising Stars Grand Prix, the Silver Award at the Amadeus International Music Awards, a third prize at the Odin International Music Online Competition, and a Special Mention at the Beethoven Competition in Vienna. In 2023, the quintet achieved the second prize at the Carl Wendling Competition for Chamber Music and participated as a scholarship ensemble in the Jeunesses Musicales International Chamber Music Campus in Weikersheim.
Furthermore, the ensemble is part of the Chamber Music Studio of the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, where they regularly receive inspiration from renowned professors such as Ulrich Hermann and Norbert Kaiser.
In 2024, the debut album of the Sonus Quintet will be released, featuring original works for reed quintet as well as their own arrangements. The theme of light served as inspiration for this program.

The Sonus Quintet, a unique ensemble from Stuttgart, presents to you “Elegance and Emotions: A Night of Classical Music.” Experience the fascinating fusion of clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon that have united under the name “Sonus” – sound – to create a unique and incomparably homogeneous blend. On the night of classical music, the ensemble will touch your heart with the masterpieces of Schumann, Beethoven, Gershwin, and Mendelssohn Bartholdy, taking you with their extraordinary sound – Sonus – into a brand new world.

The Festlichen Serenaden Schloss Favorite in 2024 is under the motto "Tradition, Aufbruch, Revolution".

From October 11 to 13, 2024, the Festlichen Serenaden Schloss Favorite will bid farewell to winter break with "Belcanto". For the season finale, the Quantz-Collegium e.V. will perform works for soprano, two violins, cello, and harpsichord:

At each concert, you will have the opportunity to purchase a detailed program at the box office. To cover our costs for the creation and printing of the program, we charge 50 cents per copy.

Hedi Schulitz reads from her new novel project “Silesian Lebenswelten”.

This group exhibition at GEDOK Karlsruhe is dedicated to the exchange with GEDOK Hamburg. The beginning was made by media artist and composer Sabine Schäfer and visual artist Rosemarie Vollmer at GEDOK Hamburg in the summer of 2023. Together with five Hamburg colleagues, they presented their works there (from sound and glass – from image and space).
In the Karlsruhe exhibition, the five Hamburg women now encounter seven Karlsruhe colleagues (special advisory board BK). Under the motto “Lebenswelten”, they present their perspectives in various techniques and styles.
The variety of representations by the guests (photo collage, photography, painting and object, woodcut and drawing) is answered by the Karlsruhe artists with a similarly diverse range from the fields of media and sound art, glass design, painting, photography, video, sculpture, ceramics, and object art.

Leaving everything behind without writing a farewell letter? That's exactly what Julien had in mind, but then Maud unexpectedly comes home early. The two have been married for 30 years, Julien is a psychoanalyst, Maud a pianist. Now, for one night, they take stock of their lives and their love - passionately, wittily, angrily they struggle with each other and with life's big questions. Childhood memories mix with intimate confessions, radical existential questions, and ruthless settlements. One night to finally part ways - or to fall in love with each other anew.

Background Information
In her second play, Audrey Schebat examines a couple's relationship in all its complexity, not shying away from highs and lows, humorously but relentlessly exploring mutual dependencies and expectations. The play is a tragicomic chamber play with two equally important, complex, psychological roles.

Sometimes it's hard to remember: What was life like again, before Anna Mabo existed? Who could have guessed how much power, how much emotion and wit was coming our way? How her songs would sweep us away? She has changed us. Now she has written and recorded her second album, called Notre Dame. It’s a songwriter album that crashes and roars – the fat band gives every song what it demands and tells one sound epic after another. But the songs are also quiet, sensitive, and uplifting, because “even the Terminator sometimes feels pain in his heart.”

The film adaptation starring Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly became a worldwide success, and the song "Moon River" was a hit. The stage version and acclaimed Broadway adaptation by Richard Greenberg can be seen.

Artificial intelligence is a major topic of our time, which as individuals, we often approach with skepticism and prejudice. The exhibition "»(A)I Tell You, You Tell Me. Three Encounters for Humans/Machines« aligns with the current discourse on AI and offers the opportunity to engage in dialogue and exchange with algorithmic systems.

In an interactive field of action, we can intuitively explore our relationship with technology, challenge existing prejudices, and reflect on our own selves as well as the supposedly technological "other." To this end, we have commissioned three expansive works that occupy the ground floor of Lichthof 1+2.

Complex Interactions between Humans and Machines

"(A)I Tell You, You Tell Me" is a space for the encounter of people, ideas, and technologies, a place for learning, experimenting, and researching, where collective reflection and participation are brought to the forefront. Through the exhibited artworks, the project sheds light on the complex interactions between humans and machines, asking what we can learn from these encounters and what conclusions we can draw from them for ourselves and society.

The main building of the State Kunsthalle Karlsruhe is closed for extensive renovation. However, significant parts of the collection are now visible to the public again – as guests at the ZKM | Karlsruhe.

The Kunsthalle showcases paintings and sculptures spanning from the late Middle Ages to the present on around 2000 sqm – a cross-section of the collection featuring popular masterpieces by Matthias Grünewald and Hans Baldung Grien, by Rembrandt, Rubens, and Chardin, by Cézanne, Gauguin, and Beckmann, Max Ernst, René Magritte, and Joan Miró, as well as works by Gerhard Richter, Pia Fries, and Karin Sander.

Two hundred thousand years - and a few more on top: Since the very beginning of mankind, man and woman have passionately been trying to master their daily lives together. Or even to lead a partnership.
But only in the current millennium, CAVEMAN charmingly proves that the fundamental challenges of a relationship have not significantly changed, even in times of 3-room property caves and the hunt for smartphones. Because one thing that civilization and progress have not been able to change either:

MEN ARE HUNTERS AND WOMEN ARE GATHERERS!

This insightful realization, thanks to the likable hero Tom, provides pure enjoyment. With him, the audience explores the unequal territories of the two species. On one side, there is the clearly manageable world of sharp-shooting remote controls and rolling territories with remote central locking. We learn, for example, why HE wants to know that watching TV is considered work, and SHE wishes for a clean bathroom without planning an open lung operation. In love, engaged, damn funny - CAVEMAN takes an equally entertaining and insightful look into the inner workings of every relationship.
The original play by Rob Becker became the most successful solo piece in Broadway history. And in this country too, CAVEMAN, in the direction of Esther Schweins and the translation by Kristian Bader, has been a stage hit since 2000. Thanks to its pointed inventiveness and the loving exploration of deep truths alongside amusing clichés, CAVEMAN is more than ever a must-see for all those who are in a relationship, have been, or want to be. It turns the "gigantic task of a relationship" into an unforgettable and entertaining evening.

Schotty is back on the theater stage! Four new episodes following the TV cult series created by Mizzi Meyer: Crime scene cleaner Heiko Schotte is a professional who can handle any bloodstain. However, the biggest challenge for him are the people he encounters at the crime scenes...

This time, Schotty meets a strange shaman who is trying to contact a dead person. At another crime scene, a murderer takes him hostage. Additionally, he meticulously cleans up a neo-Nazi group and is puzzled when a woman wants to name her child Özgür. But Schotty wouldn't be Schotty if he couldn't tackle every challenge at the scene of the crime with his own mix of unwavering calm and occasional outbursts of anger. Blood is thicker than water, but Schotty has the right solution for every case.
