Die Ausstellung von Krzysztof Franaszek (PL) und Gereon Krebber (DE) widmet sich den Themen von Mutationen der Formen und dem Prozess der Bedeutungsbestimmung. Durch Schmelzen, Biegen, Quetschen und Tropfen verwandeln Franaszek und Krebber ursprüngliche Motive sowie Objekte und verwischen die Grenzen zwischen der künstlichen (oft städtischen) Welt und der Natur. Die Künstler lösen nicht nur klare skulpturale Formen auf, sondern spielen auch mit der Lesbarkeit und den konventionellen Bedeutungen der Dinge. All diese Mehrdeutigkeiten treffen in der Galerie des Polnischen Instituts in Düsseldorf zusammen und bilden dort eine Konstellation aus sich verschiebenden formalen Trennungen, ambivalenten Bedeutungen aber auch fließenden geopolitischen Abgrenzungen.

Erfahre, wie diese alten Geschichten die moderne Literatur und Gaming-Szene, speziell die berühmte The Witcher- Reihe, geprägt haben. In einem mitreißenden Vortrag gewähren Daniel Vetter und Matthäus Pieczara von GentleGamer.de einen tiefen Einblick in die kulturellen Ursprünge und kreativen Prozesse hinter diesen beliebten Medien. Daniel Vetter, Gründer von GentleGamer.de und leidenschaftlicher Gamer taucht tief in die Verbindung von Kultur und Gaming ein. Matthäus Pieczara, in Polen geboren und aufgewachsen, verschlang bereits als Kind die polnischen Ausgaben der Witcher-Reihe und kennt daher nicht nur den kulturellen, sondern auch den sprachlichen Reichtum der Bücher.
