Special program 30 years MAGDEBURGER ZWICKMÜHLE
with Marion Bach, Heike Ronniger, and Hans-Günther Pölitz
The MAGDEBURGER ZWICKMÜHLE turns 30. In the past, this would have simply been called a company anniversary. Today, it is said that it has been on the market for thirty years. And on this, one is sold. Either as a fool or according to its market value. And this has its price. For example, the "Leipzig Dandelion" and the "Cabinet Prize". Both in Saxony, the "Reinheimer Satire Lion" in Hesse, the cabaret prize "Cornichon" in Franconia, so Swiss... You can look that up on Wikipedia. But with awards, it is known to be a tricky matter. Even the wise philosopher V. Olksmund said: Orders and bombs always hit the wrong ones. Whether the praise in our case hit the right ones, almost a million viewers in 59 programs and eight thousand performances have been able to see on stage every evening.
30 years MAGDEBURGER ZWICKMÜHLE - that’s been since its birth on February 29, 1996, at 8 p.m.: three years of Helmut Kohl, seven years of Gerhard Schröder, sixteen years of Angela Merkel, four years of Olaf Scholz, and 42 weeks of Friedrich Merz. Provided he lasts that long. Because chancellors come and go - but the MAGDEBURGER ZWICKMÜHLE has remained.
Whether Kohl, whether Merkel, whether Scholz, whether Schröder: Nothing got better, but... as Erich Kästner once described: "Almost everything has changed, and almost everything has remained the same." Because not only cabaret but also the problems are calling: "There we are still"! And so the 60th program is a satirical journey through time, to remind us laughingly of the past in the present, with the hope of still having something to laugh about in the future.
Doors open: 6:30 p.m.
