Already from 2004 to 2013, Rosenau, together with Theater Rampe, Theaterhaus, Literaturhaus, and Laboratorium, annually organized the "Viennese Week" festival. The idea was to focus on Vienna/Austria for a week and specifically invite cabaret artists, writers, authors, and theater productions from there to Stuttgart. The series "Wiener Blut" now picks up on this idea again. Throughout the year, various Austrian cabaret artists will present their programs at Rosenau: Social, political, and interpersonal topics are entertainingly brought to the stage in a cabaret style! And everything is a bit more biting, sinister, ironic, quirky, and often more poetic than from German territory.

On his grand tour in 2024, the entertainer Rudy Giovannini will also perform at "PRISMA" in Freiberg on September 15, 2024. Rudy Giovannini received his vocal training in Italy with Maestro Arrigo Pola, who had already taught Luciano Pavarotti. A few years ago, the tenor transitioned from classical to entertainment music. Each performance by Rudy Giovannini is unique, and his music is a true elixir of life - bringing new joy to many people who have reached a low point due to strokes of fate. This artist captivates not only with his fantastic voice but also as an amusing showman with a lot of humor. The program ranges from lively melodic entertainment music, folk music, Schlager, to classical. Evergreens such as "Spanish Eyes," "La Pastorella," and "La Montanara" can be heard, as well as songs from his native Italy like "Santa Lucia" and "Il Silenzio," melodies from opera and operetta, including the most beautiful melodies by Robert Stolz and Johann Strauss. Be surprised by the new songs from the current CD. Highlights of each show are always "Wolgalied" from Zarewitsch and the "Prisoner's Chorus" from Nabucco.

Thorsten Hülsemann is an organist and cantor at Maulbronn Monastery Church as well as district cantor for the Mühlacker district. His solo recital this year as part of the Klosterkonzerte provides an overview of three centuries of German organ music history. The opening piece is Dietrich Buxtehude's "Toccata in d," in the typically freely virtuosic North German style of the late 17th century, for which the composer was already famous during his lifetime. This was reason enough for Johann Sebastian Bach to make the journey on foot from Thuringia to his role model. Several choral-based and free organ works from the pen of the later Thomaskantor are heard, such as the well-known choral arrangement of "Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme BWV 645," the "Concerto in G BWV 592," or "Prelude and Fugue in C BWV 547." Bach, less esteemed by his contemporaries as a composer than as a virtuoso musician and improviser, fell into obscurity after his death. His present fame is owed to Felix Mendelssohn, who inaugurated the Bach Renaissance through his performance of the "St. Matthew Passion" in 1829. He was also the first significant composer who dedicated himself intensively to the organ again after almost 100 years.
Thorsten Hülsemann performs his "Sonata in F minor, op. 65, 1," in which the first movement skillfully weaves in the chorale "Was mein Gott will, das g’scheh allzeit." The concert comes to a brilliant conclusion with a look to France: From Louis Vierne's popular first organ symphony, the Prélude and the Final resonate.

Guido Heinke studied piano with Elza Kolodin, Hans Leygraf, Vtali Margulis, and Fany Solter. He is a winner of several international competitions. As a versatile musician, he often performs as a soloist, collaborates with numerous renowned musicians throughout Europe, teaches at the University of Music in Freiburg, and has a guest professorship in South Korea.

Franz Vorraber hails from Graz, Austria. He has received awards for his pianistic achievements such as the Bösendorfer Prize in Vienna and the Prize of the Austrian Federal Ministry. As a soloist, he has been invited to prestigious festivals including the Klavierfestival Ruhr, Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, Mendelssohn Festival in Leipzig, Mozart Festival in Würzburg, and Vienna Music Summer. In addition to his piano work, Franz Vorraber is also active in composition. He received the Japanese Record Critics Award for his DVD-Audio recordings with the Pioneer label.

Michael Ewers began his training at the SMTT Sindelfingen and later joined the youth class of Hedwig Pahl at the University of Music in Trossingen. He has won multiple awards at Jugend musiziert and the Tonkünstlerverband. He completed his violin studies at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Prof. Hans Zehetmair, and continued his studies in "Artistic Education" and "Soloist Class" in Stuttgart with Prof. Hans Kalafusz. As concertmaster of the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim, he frequently performs as a soloist and has participated in numerous chamber music events in Germany and across Europe.

LAME DUCK, BLIND CHICKEN - a play for the whole family from 6 to 99 years by Ulrich Hub

Chickens and ducks love company, and chickens usually know exactly what they want. Ducks, on the other hand, can be very clingy and get sad when they are alone. Two personalities of these beautiful, feathered scratch and water creatures meet in this play by pure coincidence. But from the encounter of the two quite different nest-builders with rather contrasting characters, life attitudes, and future visions, companions emerge who discover the unexpected, together master the most difficult undertakings, overcome boundaries, and face a great adventure, greater than they could ever have dreamed: despite their differences, they have become friends!

„Fly with me! Fly with me!“, calls Albi, the alpine soaring bird, who nests under the roof of the Linden Museum during the summer months. On your tour through the permanent exhibitions, you will encounter the transparent kangaroo, hear about an extinct bird, get to know the octopus Toko, and listen to entertainment with Seraa, the elephant. Whether in pictures or clothing, made of wood, ceramics, and stone – the animals and their representations tell of the coexistence of humans and animals. This relationship is not always simple. On one hand, many animals are admired, revered, and valued as companions or domestic and farm animals; on the other hand, their habitats are being destroyed, and they are hunted or displaced.

In the exhibition, the illustrator Promina Shrestha brings the animals on the objects to life through her images. In the audio and stamp rally, you will discover together with Albi what the animals have to tell, solve puzzles, and collect stamps.

The cabinet exhibition in the East Asian department presents works by the artist Monika Hoffer alongside pieces of flower and bird painting by renowned Chinese and Japanese artists from the 16th to 20th centuries from our collection. This genre, highly valued among traditional scholars of East Asia, aims to unite the objective and subjective world, merging personal feelings and nature observation. The personalities of the artists are reflected in the images, which are shaped and refined by the precise observation of the motifs.

A fairy tale play by Johannes Galli, inspired by the French fairy tale of the same name

A wealthy merchant gets lost in the forest and discovers a mysterious castle. The lord of the castle, a hideous beast, grants the poor man entry. To fulfill the only wish of his beloved daughter Belle, the merchant steals a rose he finds in the castle garden. The Beast catches him and as punishment demands that he must stay with him forever.

To save her father, the beautiful Belle decides to take on the punishment instead of her father and sets off to face the Beast. She quickly realizes that the Beast carries a deep secret within. Will she succeed in breaking the curse of the enchanted prince with the power of love and freeing him?

„Aus voller Kehle für die Seele“ is aimed at all people who love to sing!
It truly includes everyone: those who think they cannot sing at all, those who can sing a little, or those who often and gladly do. “Aus voller Kehle für die Seele” is not a normal choir with regular dates and performances. It is actually not a choir at all! Rather, it is an arrangement for singing, where fun is the main focus: the fun of singing together, the fun of trying out and experimenting, and also the fun of failing together. Singing is done without sheet music, with the lyrics projected on a screen.
Patrick Bopp alias Memphis is part of the Stuttgart vocal comedy group “Füenf” and the musical host. He sings, conducts, motivates, offers accompaniment, and plays the piano.

We are pleased that the September edition of “Aus voller Kehle für die Seele” can again take place in collaboration with the Evangelical Church Community Stuttgart-West in the Johanneskirche at Feuersee.
