From September 15 to November 3, 2024, a cabinet exhibition featuring works by the artist Ingrid Jureit (*1944 in Hofheim am Taunus) will be on display at the Stadtmuseum.

In her work, Ingrid Jureit (*1944 in Hofheim am Taunus) addresses the consequences of (natural) disasters and wars. The focus of her paintings and drawings is the distress, pain, and sorrow of the victims. Her works do not depict individual portraits. The gesture and posture of the people become the defining visual element and a universal means of expression in her works. The connection of humans with nature and the perceived loss of an intact nature and environment in light of the impacts of climate change are themes in the pictures of the forest.

Ingrid Jureit was a member of the artist association "Hofheimer Gruppe," founded in 1962, which existed until 2002. She held a teaching position at the Academy of Fine Arts Vulkaneifel (1995–2008) and was active as a lecturer at the Art Academy Bad Reichenhall from 2006 to 2023.

On October 24, 1974, the Bürgervereinigung Hofheimer Altstadt (BHA) was founded. On the occasion of its 50th anniversary, the exhibition showcases the history of the association and its successful efforts for the preservation of the Hofheimer Old Town. The spirit of the times after the end of World War II was moving nationwide towards a "car-friendly city," and the modern concept of monument protection was just at the beginning of its development. Thus, plans for a large-scale renovation, which would have sacrificed a large part of the old building substance, also emerged in Hofheim in the 1960s. Resistance to these plans formed among the population, which found its organizational form in the BHA from 1974 onwards.

The Bürgervereinigung successfully engaged in political lobbying for the preservation and renovation of the Hofheimer Old Town, established connections with other old town associations beyond the region, and provided interested citizens of the Hofheimer Old Town with advice and practical assistance. Even after the renovation phase ended, it continued to advocate for the interests of the Hofheimer Old Town and continues to shape its character to this day.

A photo exhibition will showcase successful renovation projects. Historical photographs from the city archive and contemporary images by Hofheimer photographer Heiko Schmitt will be displayed.

When writer Paul Sheldon kills off the main character of his successful novel series "Misery," he wants to dedicate himself to more demanding literature. But hardly has he completed a new, more profound book when he has an accident on an icy road in the Colorado mountains and becomes trapped in his car. Nurse Annie finds him, frees him from the wreckage while he is severely injured, and takes him to her remote farm to care for him.

It turns out that Annie is Paul's biggest fan and loves the character Misery above all else. That she had to die in the last novel is something she cannot accept, and she devises a plan. With brutal violence, she forces the helpless Paul to write another installment and bring Misery back to life. A game of mutual dependencies escalates further and further. Jaimi Faulkner, probably the hottest comet in the singer-songwriter firmament, is touring the country again. In addition to his "Early Morning Coffee Cups," the troubadour from Down Under has his very own blend of rock, roots, folk, and soul in his luggage as he confidently wanders the "Back Road."

When the solo artist's debut "Last Light" was released in 2004, it was immediately clear that something very big was coming. In the following years, this suspicion was confirmed as Faulkner thrilled audiences on tour as a virtuoso guitarist, charismatic singer, and inspiring entertainer. With the move to Germany, the multi-talented artist also embarked on a musical evolution. Tilly and her family are back. Twenty years ago, they were "The Four from the Loony Bin" and kidnapped us back to the 1950s, only to bring the 1960s back to life in the show "No Hippies in the Loony Bin" shortly after. We have now combined the two full-length shows into a Double Feature, a practical joke in pairs. With the great Schlager and Rock 'n' Roll hits of the 1950s and the Flower Power oldies of the 1960s.

Finally! After a five-year break, Krabat is back with the first live concert. ProgRock meets psychedelic meets melancholic melodies.

All it takes are two electric guitars, the bass, drums, vocals, and of course the Mellotron. The Mellotron is a must. Otherwise, it won't work. But you already know that. Always on board: Andreas Koch and Anja Wylezol on guitars, vocals, and keyboards. New to the lineup are Maggus “The Cat” Hampe on bass and vocals and Manfred Fleckenstein on drums.

It's going to be wild and intoxicating! “Rock is not dead, it only smells funny,” Zappa once phrased it, more or less. That needs to be proven. So come all, you Progheads and Deadheads and Rockheads and everyone who enjoys drifting away with music. Maybe together we’ll find the way to the moon, completely without rockets.

Musically fresh and lively, Gitte Haenning presents her favorite songs in her current program. But in a fine, small ensemble. Drums, bass, Gitte - that's all it takes to entertain you perfectly during a concert evening.

For over 60 years, this vocally and personally incredibly captivating artist has been on the road, now 76 years old, swirling and singing and jumping lively across the stage. And she "still has more voice than most in her industry, even when they are younger," writes the Berliner Morgenpost after a performance at the beginning of the year, at the premiere of the new program. "Two experienced jazz musicians, she doesn't need more to open up musical worlds," the review continues.

Gitte Haenning visibly enjoys the program. She explores her huge repertoire and in 2024 gives her music, her stories, and passions an expressive fresh look in an exciting way - always looking forward and always Gitte Haenning! And finally: you don't have to miss out on the hits everyone can sing along to. At most, you might have to wait a little. Other pieces are initially more important to Haenning. This also makes this concert evening very special.

His stand-ups are full of razor-sharp self-irony and unconditional harshness, especially towards his own shortcomings.
