The CLOSE UP NIGHT presents ...Torsten Pahl with a solo evening.
The audience sits in suspense in the half-darkness. A circle of light forms the stage. Out of nowhere appears – a miracle!
The hand is quicker than the eye – they say. But does this assumption also hold true in full light and in slow motion? Does the world seem bigger when viewed in the light than in the shadows? Or does the shadow just have more space to hide?! Torsten Pahl, on the other hand, hides nothing in this program. At best, he skillfully conceals the obvious. Because nothing is faster than light. Except maybe the imagination. And it moves fastest in the half-darkness, as is known.
Entertaining magic pieces about perception & deception, the order of the world, surprising time jumps, or skillful hand shadow play. With his magical, imaginative stories around the theme of light and shadow, Torsten Pahl will also bring a smile to your faces. – But be cautious! When viewed in the light, nothing is as it seems!
The creation of this work was made possible by a grant from the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony.
---
Under the motto "The difference lies in the nearness," the three professional magicians André Kursch, Torsten Pahl, and Matthieu Anatrella have been offering unusual magic astonishingly close since 2004.
The Close Up Night is therefore the longest running magic show in Dresden and also the first magic theater in this city.
Several times a month, the "Saal Hamburg" in the Feldschlößchen-Stammhaus transforms into the magic theater of the Close Up Night. In this distinctive atmosphere, you have the opportunity to experience the performers together in one of their currently eight table theater shows – a unique show format nationwide in Germany. Entertaining, different, and astonishing.
In addition, they have three salon shows, several solo evenings, two children's programs, and a Christmas stage show in December in their repertoire. The ideal alternative for company Christmas parties – food and show under one roof.
The evenings of the Close Up Night have become the insider tip in Dresden's event landscape!
