In his first solo program "The Love Algorithm," Andreas Langsch creates a picture of his generation and tries to convey: Between old and young. Between internet-addicted and nature enthusiasts. Between love and the love algorithm. Andreas belongs to Generation Y. These are the people who can't figure out what to do with their lives and spend all day staring at their phones. After school, it's always off to... yes, Australia for a year. And then? Study, start a startup, work non-stop, then straight into a sabbatical or burnout. The world is racing by! Andreas tries to keep up. But the perfection on the internet, the perfect partnership, and the highly bred self-optimizers drive him crazy. So he sets out in search of a solution. How can you escape this stress? After long walks in the park where he witnesses a murder that will probably never be solved, philosophical thoughts about superpowers, and an unwanted pen pal correspondence, he seems to have found a solution to everything... What is it? You're best off seeing for yourself. In early 2023, Andreas Langsch was awarded the Bielefeld Cabaret Prize (1st prize + audience prize). At intersections, in pedestrian zones, even on balconies: trees everywhere. It's actually beautiful, but for most people, the sudden reclamation of urban spaces in Europe by nature is quite annoying. And the forestry office obviously has no time to rein in the rampant wild growth. For most tormented Europeans, the only option left is to flee to the global South, where it’s too hot for trees – a "reverse" migration begins. At least: Good for Bambi, who can leisurely wander through the newly grown fauna, but bad for Caesar and Pliny, who wonder what has happened to the Roman roads built for eternity.

Miriam Lesch's "Wald" is a crazy fantasy about the reclamation of the world by nature. Absurd, funny, and also a bit cautionary.

A revue-style Erich Kästner special
In February 2024, the birthday of Erich Kästner will be celebrated for the 125th time. A good reason to celebrate the great German writer in a special event.
Together with his daughter Lea-Marie and the musicians of the "Sextanten," Walter Sittler embarks on a journey through the life of Erich Kästner. He tells of the intoxication of Berlin in the twenties and the hangover that followed. In this revue-style piece, which primarily takes place in the fluorescent "Babylon Berlin" atmosphere of the 1920s and 30s, Lea-Marie takes on the role of a bar singer.
The piece, conceived by Martin Mühleis, is in the tradition of the literary-musical revues of the 1920s. Composer Libor Síma, who also wrote the stage music for this piece, rearranged some hits from those years for Lea-Marie Sittler and set individual Kästner poems to music as chansons. Lea-Marie Sittler has studied singing and music. She has lived in Sweden for many years and is popular and sought after there as a singer-songwriter.

THE CAVERN BEATLES
Visually and acoustically an absolutely realistic concert like in the years 1963-66 - live!

As if by a time machine, the audience (of all ages) is transported back to the 60s. And it seems as if they do not want to return to the present anytime soon. A power concert lasting over two hours with authentic technology, instruments, and costumes, and without any "fluff" are the best evidence of that!

First-class "tribute bands" not only try to look and sound like their famous counterparts but manage to capture the true essence of the artists and the spirit of the time and convey it to the audience. In this respect, the Cavern Beatles are leaders in their field and always manage to captivate the audience with their amazing stage presence. When you see the individual musicians, it is obvious whom they represent - when you see all of them together on stage, the resemblance to the original is astonishing. As musicians, they have researched the Beatles' songs down to the smallest detail, from the chord grip to every drum fill, to play the music as authentically as possible. Their vocal abilities are often praised by critics. All four band members were born and raised in Liverpool, which gives them a natural vocal advantage.

When thousands of visitors seriously wonder whether the originals were ever as good live as their successors, it speaks volumes. It primarily says a lot about the quality of the performance since most guests only know the Beatles from various recordings. They always listen and evaluate with studio quality as the benchmark.

The Detmolder Kammerorchester is celebrating its 70th anniversary. However, it has not aged at all. On the contrary. Built on a foundation of orchestra traditions that have grown and remained future-oriented over the decades, the ensemble captivates with its infectious joy of making music and a shared spirit that is also reflected in the motto of the season: Connectedness. This includes not only the connectedness among each other but also artists from near and far, as well as institutions and the people of the region, to whom the musicians feel a friendly bond.

Just like the violinist Aram Badalian. He was appointed to the professorship for violin at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold in 2020. Since then, the violinist born in Armenia has been regularly present in the Detmold music and concert scene. After studying for exceptionally talented students at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia, he continued his studies in Brussels with Valery and Igor Oistrakh and completed it at the State University of Music Karlsruhe in the class of Josef Rissin. He has performed as a violin virtuoso with orchestras in Russia, Belgium, Turkey, and Ukraine, and has appeared at festivals including those in Baden-Baden, Palermo, and Switzerland.

Since spring 2011, the group THE GREGORIAN VOICES has been on tour in Europe. Under the artistic direction of Oleksiy Semenchuk, the eight exceptional Ukrainian soloists present the musical tradition of Gregorian chant in a refined manner.

Dressed in traditional monk robes, the singers create a mystical atmosphere, taking the audience on a journey through the world of medieval sacred music - a sound world without temporal, religious, and linguistic boundaries! Experience a varied concert with a mix of Gregorian chants, Orthodox church music, and songs and madrigals from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. With their vocal power and many solo passages, the choir and its soloists show how Gregorian chant can sound today: authentic yet contemporary.

The second part of the concert features classics of pop music, such as "Ameno" by ERA, "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, "Knocking on Heaven's Door" by Bob Dylan, "Hallelujah" by Leonard Cohen, "Sound of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel, "Sailing" by Rod Stewart, among others, which have been rearranged in the style of Gregorian chant.
