Five critiques of time in real-time
How do authors view our time? How do they perceive our society?
What are their themes, what drives them and inspires them? The shortlist of the WORTMELDUNGEN Literature Prize 2025 of the Crespo Foundation is set: Susanne Gregor, I.V. Nuss, Clemens J. Setz, Josefine Soppa, and Dana von Suffrin. Five authors who will provide insights about themselves and their texts. Five current literary texts that critically engage with the present. They can be accessed at
http://www.wortmeldungen.org. For the great shortlist evening, all five nominees have been invited to Frankfurt. After a joint welcome and introduction in the reading room, the audience will disperse to five locations in the building. There, they will encounter the authors one after the other and experience them in conversations and small readings, moderated by Carolin Callies, Christoph Schröder, Shirin Sojitrawalla, Beate Tröger, and Jan Wiele.
At the end of each room, a nominated text will be read in its entirety.
An event of the Crespo Foundation in collaboration with the Literaturhaus Frankfurt. Media partner is hr2-kultur, where the evening will be broadcast on 02.03., 12.00 h.
