CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVED (USA/UK)
FEATURING JOHNNIE GUITAR WILLIAMSON
Woodstock & Beyond - Tour 2025
Creedence Clearwater Revived featuring Johnnie Guitar Williamson is going on a major world tour again in 2025/2026! Initially, the focus of the new "Woodstock and Beyond Tour" will be on Europe in 2025. Alongside England, Scandinavia, Italy, Greece, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Spain, Germany is also well represented. As the tour title clearly indicates, this distinguished quartet will not only delight us with the classics of the Woodstock era during the arena tour but also with some lesser-known CCR songs from the later phase. A new live album is also in the works!
When Creedence Clearwater Revived takes the stage, from the first to the last minute, the energy is electrifying, the crowd is dancing, and the ground shakes. It's a celebration of the rebirth of a legend! But it's also about life. What better way to do that than with the music of CCR! Together with all the other fans, experience the many hits live, sing along, cheer, dance, and feel the pure energy of a fantastic live band. For about two hours, everyone can revel in memories, recall the good old days, and enjoy the world from a beautiful perspective. The last tours clearly showed that the band, despite their age - all musicians are well over seventy - is far from being tired of touring.
The Woodstock legend CCR was considered one of the most successful bands in the world in the late 60s and early 70s. With hits like Suzie Q., Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Who´ll Stop the Rain, Hey Tonight, Have You Ever Seen the Rain, and many more, Creedence Clearwater Revived featuring Johnnie Guitar Williamson has been touring extensively across Europe in recent years, thrilling nearly 250,000 fans in Russia and Poland alone in 2016, around 130,000 in Italy in 2017, and over 150,000 visitors in Germany on their open-air and arena tour. After the huge success of the CD "Live in Sardinia," the band released their album "Live in Europe" (on CD and DVD) in September 2018, which captured the four seasoned musicians in excellent playing mood during the legendary Double Anniversary in 2017. This tour with over 180 concerts worldwide was one of the most successful of the year!
Meanwhile, the DVD has long sold out, and the CDs are in huge demand, so a new album will follow in spring 2025.
With their characteristic guitar sound, using the vintage Fender Deville amplifiers, the band breathes new life into the numerous old CCR hits even after so many years. With the new frontman Bernard “Bernie” Southern, Creedence Clearwater Revived has found a counterpart for John Fogerty, whose vocals are just as compelling as the original, although the sound is somewhat different. Bernard Southern is so convincing that concertgoers genuinely experience the intensity of each song anew and truly feel it. Bernie Southern impresses not only with a tremendous stage presence and strong entertainer qualities but also with his first-class guitar work and charming demeanor.
The entire band manages, with their full dedication, to genuinely transport the spirit of the Woodstock era into the modern age, maintain the CCR cult, and transform the sound of yesteryear into the here and now. This way, many CCR songs from the 60s and 70s come across not as purist but contemporary, feel alive, and still sound distinctly like Creedence Clearwater Revival. The band simply convinces through authenticity and joy of playing, which they have continually demonstrated in over 1,000 concerts around the globe, even reaching as far as Australia. Creedence Clearwater Revived radiates its outstanding musical qualities so convincingly live that it strongly reminds of the good old CCR glory days.
