Who would have thought around 20 years ago that one could conquer the cabaret and comedy stages of the country with "Scherereien" and perfect Hessian? In 1998, Johannes Scherer went on tour for the first time, accompanied by his congenial partner and radio colleague Robert Treutel ("Bodo Bach"). Four years later, Scherer's first solo show "Scherereien" followed, for which he was directly nominated for the prestigious cabaret award "Prix Pantheon." Over the years, five more successful solo programs from the TV and radio host followed.
Since 2019, it is time for an extensive "BEST OF" tour, where Scherer, born in 1973 in Alzenau-Wasserlos and raised in Schöllkrippen in the Aschaffenburg district, celebrates his 20th stage anniversary and takes his fans on a journey through his previous shows. In his usual manner, he presents a varied mix of stand-up, cabaret, and parody. "There will be excerpts from my solo programs Scherereien, Scherereien 2.0 Reloaded, Dumm klickt gut, Asoziale Netzwerke, and my current one, Keinangsthasen," says Johannes Scherer. "And of course, some surprises as well."
In his more recent programs, Johannes Scherer parodies less frequently and instead brings relevant topics to the stage. He mercilessly takes on insecure consumers, automated friend-finders, worried citizens, radical Thermomix enthusiasts, and everyone else who leaves their unsolicited and unnecessary communication waste everywhere.
The Aschaffenburger "Main-Echo" wrote about him: "He does not look down on the people. He is the people... And it becomes increasingly clear with each program, with each performance by Johannes Scherer how cleverly he uses the supposedly corny jokes as a wise socio-political statement." Additionally, the guys from the "DFB-Kantine" will speak again, his favorite Italian Luigi, and the now-retired Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, to whom Johannes Scherer lent his more or less German voice in the 2007 film of "The Simpsons."
The “BEST OF” Johannes Scherer promises over two hours of top entertainment from the winner of the Franconian Cabaret Prize 2012.
