The classic by Gotthold Ephraim Lessing – linguistically modernized, shortened, and supplemented with new texts – finds its way onto the stage of the TAF. The ensemble of the Theater Alte Feuerwache presents Emilia Galotti in a feminist and at the same time humorous version:

On her wedding day, Emilia is abducted at the behest of the vain prince, her fiancé is murdered – and in Lessing's original, she ends at the hands of her own father. Yet here, the TAF ensemble rewrites the story: Emilia does not have to die. She meets the prince's ex-lover, discovers new sides of her mother, and begins to assert herself, doubtfully and questioningly, against power, morality, and gender clichés.

Despite the serious background – femicide, abuse of power, and patriarchal structures – the production invites laughter, thought, and discussion. Comedic situations and role-playing highlight the absurdity of classical stereotypes and turn the fright of school readings into an entertaining chamber play.

Lynn Royce Taylor from Nashville/TN was a member of the Stamp Quartet and the Elvis Imperials and has been touring for years with the legendary Vouques across the USA.
Ginger Holladay not only stood in the studio with the King himself but also accompanied superstars like Joan Baez, Ray Stevens, Johnny Cash, and Cher in the studio.
Donna Rhodes' legendary recordings with Elvis as well as with Al Green, Dolly Parton, Paul Anka, and the Bee Gees became super hits in music history.
Craig Morris gained fame in the 80s with several hits in the USA, even catching the attention of Ray Charles - the rest is music history.
Together, these four great voices will exclusively present a gospel show for one hour at the end of the festival - just as it is played on Sundays in the churches of America.

Trust has been a significant topic in philosophy for several years. Rather than focusing on the major societal and political crises of trust in the present, it revolves around questions such as "What is trust?", "When is it important?", "Is there such a thing as basic trust?", "Is trustworthiness different from reliability?" In the lecture, I would like to answer some of these questions in an understandable way.
My assumption is that one will then also be better able to assess the rhetoric surrounding the crisis of trust.

Freddie Mercury was one of the most flamboyant rock singers and personalities in music history.

He filled the largest stadiums in the world and thrilled audiences with his compositions of rock and theatricality. Like few other figures in rock 'n' roll history, Freddie Mercury, the singer of the band Queen, stands for extravagance and a grand performance.

In his private life, he lived in the fast lane and was known for his extravagant and decadent lifestyle. Despite his HIV diagnosis, the singer was in the studio until shortly before his death. Songs like "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Are the Champions" made Mercury immortal.

Who would have thought around 20 years ago that one could conquer the cabaret and comedy stages of the country with "Scherereien" and perfect Hessian? In 1998, Johannes Scherer went on tour for the first time. Back then, he was accompanied by his congenial partner and radio colleague Robert Treutel ("Bodo Bach"). Four years later, Scherer released his first solo show "Scherereien," for which he was nominated for the prestigious cabaret award "Prix Pantheon." Over the years, five more successful solo programs followed from the TV and radio host.
In 2019, it is time for an extensive "BEST OF" tour, where Scherer, born in 1973 in Alzenau-Wasserlos and raised in Schöllkrippen in the Aschaffenburg district, celebrates his 20th stage anniversary and takes his fans on a journey through his previous shows. In his usual manner, he presents a diverse mix of stand-up, cabaret, and parody from the solo programs "Scherereien," "Scherereien 2.0 Reloaded," "Dumm klickt gut," "Asoziale Netzwerke," and the current program "Keinangsthasen."
In his more recent programs, Johannes Scherer parodies less frequently and instead brings relevant topics to the stage. He mercilessly addresses insecure consumers, automated friend finders, concerned citizens, radical Thermomix enthusiasts, and all others who leave their communication waste everywhere unsolicited and unnecessarily.
Additionally, the guys from the "DFB-Kantine" will speak again, his favorite Italian Luigi, and the now-retired Terminator Arnold Schwarzenegger, to whom Johannes Scherer lent his more or less German voice in the 2007 "Simpsons" movie.

"Do you listen to a lot of Reinhard Mey, right? The guitar and the style of the lyrics remind me a lot of that - wonderful!" These and similar questions are often heard by Stefan Eichner - better known as "Das Eich" - after his concerts. Not without reason, as the "Relaxed Franconian" is indeed a lover of the chansons of Germany's most famous songwriter and has mostly learned and refined his guitar playing with songs by Reinhard Mey.
Now Stefan Eichner has fulfilled a wish and put together a full-length Reinhard Mey chanson stage program, which he will start performing live alongside his own musical cabaret programs. Of course, like Reinhard Mey himself, without a band. Only with a guitar. The artist describes the evening like this: "The songs have accompanied me for more than half a lifetime: at home, on tour, actually constantly. Reinhard is unique, uncopyable, and that's not what this program is about. Also, the concert evening is not a 'Best of.' Reinhard Mey has written over 500 songs in his career. An incredible achievement. Therefore, in my view, a collection of, for example, the 20 biggest hits would not do justice to this achievement. That is why, alongside classics like 'Über den Wolken' and 'Gute Nacht, Freunde,' there are also songs from the 'second and third rows' that - I believe - also need to be played. In numerous conversations after the concerts, the visitors tell me that they really like that. This consistently positive feedback makes me very happy and always creates great anticipation for the next concert!"

Being a mouse is not easy. Especially when you live in the forest, where there are snakes, owls, and foxes that would love to consider you a feast. You really need some tough friends to protect you to survive as a mouse. So Max, the mouse hero, simply invents a friend who is so big and terrifying that everyone must be afraid of him and names him "Grüffelo." Because: Grüffelo, Grüffela, Grüffelum, that doesn't sound silly at all. Anyone who has such a friend is safe from snakes, owls, and foxes. How surprised Max is when he finds out that this "Grüffelo" actually exists and is anything but a friend. But Max is small and clever and of course has a brilliant idea now…

Peter Beck, better known as the notoriously grumbling caretaker "Begge Peder," is back and causing mischief again on German cabaret stages. With horn-rimmed glasses, work apron, and creepily crooked teeth, the most Hessian of all caretakers tells stories of his daily experiences in the broadest dialect – and leaves even the last of his audience members rolling with laughter! The ideas for his performances come from cabaret artist Peter Beck's real life. However, when he stands on stage as Begge Peder, the Hesse really doesn't hold back! He complains and grumbles to his heart's content and has something to criticize about almost everything and everyone! Nevertheless, the quirky caretaker has long since found a place in the hearts of the audience… Especially fans of the Hessian dialect shouldn't miss a performance by Begge Peder.
