Willi Weitzel
LIVE PHOTO & FILM SHOW BY AND WITH WILLI WEITZEL
Age recommendation: for everyone from 5 - 99 years
We dream of being an influencer or a soccer star, of great travels and lots of money, of happiness and peace and sometimes just of a roof over our heads and a daily meal. Willi Weitzel – known from Willi wills wissen – has asked many people about their dreams. The result was even more questions: What do I dream of? What prevents me from fulfilling my dreams? Do children dream bigger than adults? Why are my dreams dismissed? Can we (un)learn dreaming?
Willi tells – accompanied by impressive photos on a large screen – vividly about his encounters with people around the world and how he fulfills his own childhood dreams.
With a self-built raft, he embarks on a grand journey, takes the longest walk of his life, indulges in a visit to the land of milk and honey, and sets off on a journey through the wide world. Along the way, he experiences how differently people dream: not infrequently modest and small, but also that dreams can grow and develop magical powers.
A show full of real life, encouraging adventures, emotional depth, crazy ideas, and funny anecdotes. Anyone who knows Willi knows: This will be more than entertainment; it will be an experience that touches and resonates. 90 minutes of laughing, marveling, cheering along, and of course, dreaming! And what do you dream of?
PS: In fulfilling his dreams, Willi received fantastic support from Annika Preil (Anna and the Wild Animals) and Julian Jansen (Checker Julian).
Willi Weitzel completed a teacher training program before conquering thousands of children's hearts (and their parents') with the TV show "Willi wills wissen." In his unmistakably charming and mischievous manner, he asked countless questions to get to the bottom of what makes our planet so unique. "Willi and the Wonders of This World" has been one of the most visited documentaries in recent years, with around 450,000 cinema-goers. During filming, Willi got a taste of the wide world. His adventurous spirit awakened, and he transformed from a fast-paced to a traveling reporter. What he experiences on the road, he shares with his audience live on stage. "Willi's Wild Ways" has since captivated countless viewers. He is currently on tour with his new show "Willi live - And what do you dream of?"
In addition, Willi Weitzel is actively engaged as a patron for the children's charity UNICEF and as an ambassador for the UN Decade on Biological Diversity. He is also the patron of the initiative "Young Researchers e.V." He has been awarded several prizes, including the Grimme Prize, the Bavarian Television Award, the Erich Kästner Television Award, and the Grand Prize of the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature.
