Garten- und Wellnessfest in the Kurpark Bad Salzdetfurth on May 9 and 10, 2026
When the Kurpark of Bad Salzdetfurth shines in the glory of spring, it's that time again: The popular Garten- und Wellnessfest returns on May 9 and 10 for the 14th time! Over 80 exhibitors from all over Germany are coming to showcase the latest trends in gardening, wellness, and handicrafts. Between the impressive, 250-year-old graduation towers and on the spacious green areas, there will be plenty to discover this weekend.
Inspiration for Garden Enthusiasts
The gardening season is open. This means it's time to refresh the balcony, terrace, and garden! On a 300-square-meter lawn area, visitors will find over 1,000 different decorative items ranging from garden stakes, wind chimes, baskets, figures, concrete decorations to steel and weathered trellises.
At "La Maison," visitors can expect a wide selection of stylish home decorations that enhance their home aesthetically and functionally. From decorative accents to practical home accessories, the range offers suitable solutions for various tastes and living concepts. Additionally, La Maison presents innovative options for artificial room greening: Whether art moss or high-quality silk flowers, anyone interested in low-maintenance, appealing greenery for their own four walls will find plenty of inspiration at the booth.
Also present is the Blooming Company from the Netherlands. Whether colorful tulips, elegant daffodils, or fragrant hyacinths, flower bulbs offer the perfect selection for every season and garden style for gardens, balconies, and landscaping.
In the pavilion opposite the Kurpark stage, "Orchideen Neuhaus" from Hückeswagen showcases the diversity of rare orchid species. Visitors can not only learn more about the care and diversity of the "queen of flowers" but can also bring their own orchids and have them repotted on-site by professionals.
Art, Creativity, and Crafts
Between the graduation towers, art becomes tangible: Numerous artisans and designers present their creative works there. Among them is Sabine Nordmeyer, who exhibits over 500 handcrafted ceramic unique pieces. These are made from high-fired casting clay and refined with a selection of over 1,000 glazes. Her workshop in Peine, where she also offers courses, is known for creative shapes and stylish designs for home and garden.
Those looking for unique glass creations in different shapes and colors will find what they seek at Laura Leppich's booth. She creates colorful mouth-blown glass creations using recycled glass from Mexico. This recycling process consumes less energy than industrially produced glass and looks beautiful too. This results in drinking glasses of various sizes, glass hearts, spheres, or decorative scatter items.
At jewelry designer Petra Ernst's booth, visitors can peek over her shoulder in the Kurpark. She shows how unique pieces of jewelry such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or rings are made from materials like shells, leather, Swarovski stones, and cultured pearls.
Fashion-conscious visitors can look forward to Bertha Hantusch. The designer from Peru processes alpaca wool into unique sweaters, jackets, and socks for young and old. The high-quality natural fiber is not only skin-friendly but also temperature-regulating, making it ideal for every season. Her fashion stands for quality, style, and sustainability.
Well-Being and Health
The topic of well-being and health also plays a central role at the Garten- und Wellnessfest. From circulation-promoting devices to ergonomic products for the back to room fragrances and nutrition tips.
A special highlight is the booth of Klaus-Michael Jähnig from Winsen. He creates handmade soaps. An ancient craft that he reinterprets with modern, organically controlled vegetable oils and essential fragrances. Those sensitive to scents will also find something: There are completely fragrance-free variants available. Alongside this, Jähnig offers lovingly designed soap pouches in colorful designs.
Information and Consultation
At numerous booths, visitors can inform themselves about a variety of topics such as e-bikes, physiotherapy, coaching, tiny houses, cooking recipes, window systems, or photovoltaic systems and heat pumps.
Delight for All Senses
Of course, physical well-being is not neglected: In front of the Kurpark stage and along the graduation works, international and regional specialties are waiting for the visitors. Whether hearty meat dishes, vegetarian and vegan options, homemade lemonades, fine spirits, crêpes, honey from the beekeeper, licorice, or homemade Italian ice cream, there's something for every palate.
