Theater: Im Menschentrichter - Szenen aus der Großstadt - gespielt von Menschen, Puppen und Schatten
In the pub, they all meet: The cigarette-fingered waiter, the burly uncle, the barmaid, the quirky teacher, the secret love couple, the unfortunate one...
Whimsical characters from the big city - observed and described nearly a hundred years ago by Kurt Tucholsky, Wolfgang Borchert, Karl Valentin, Frank Wedekind, and others. We look into the funnel of the past and see... ourselves? The stories are cheerful, sad, moving. There is a lot of live music from the accordion and there will be singing:
"The Song of Indifference" or "When one is born" by Kurt Tucholsky, "The Song of the Crooked Lanke" by Freddy Sieg, and also "If I could wish for something" by Friedrich Hollaender.
The "Theater Mann & Frau" performs with people, puppets, and shadows. The stage is a real playing partner, it transforms unexpectedly, becoming a pub, garden locale, altar, and afterlife. The performers are: Rosa Lorensen, Thomas Mette, and Anja Dolak (accordion).
Doors open: from 6:30 PM
