blumengroup: Sein oder Nichtsein
The in-house theater group blumengroup presents on Saturday, the 24th (8:00 PM) at the JTF Forchheim their new project: “Sein oder Nichtsein” (To Be Or Not To Be), a comedy by Nick Whitby based on the film of the same name by Ernst Lubitsch.
In the play, the Warsaw Polski Theater during World War II becomes a place of resistance, where the actors Josef and Maria Tura and their troupe use wit, disguise, and their talent to defy the Nazis.
The piece is a satire that combines humor and depth, highlighting the horrors of war but also the power of art and humor. The staging connects history and the present with sharpness, lightness, and - typical for the blumengroup - show elements.
Directed by Janet Siering. The set design is by the former Artistic Director of JTF, Lorenz Deutsch.
The cast includes Stella Zuber, Martin Lehnert, Patrick Grasser, Sarah Grasser, Attila Süle, Sonja Hartmann, Aygün Salik, Patrick Schroll, Christian Müller, and Lorenz Deutsch.
