KLAUS HOFFMANN
A master of German-language sung short stories.
Klaus Hoffmann can certainly be called a legend. Since the late 1960s, the singer, author, and actor has been present with his songs. Influenced by great chansonniers like Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour, he developed his own style that combines cheeky humor, melancholy, and intimate confessions. With his music, he has repeatedly managed to tell emotional stories and take the audience on a journey. Hoffmann's work, marked by poetic depth and emotional authenticity, reflects a rare connection of artistic excellence and human warmth.
DOMINIK PLANGGER & CLAUDIA FENZL
One who transfers the earthy essence of his South Tyrolean homeland into his compositions with a very personal touch.
Dominik Plangger is an artist who has something to say. Whether it's about society, politics, or simply the problems of everyday life – the songwriter always manages to get straight to the point. “They still lie and keep us dumb, some hypocrites who govern us.” The songwriter was born in 1980 in South Tyrol, has been making music since early youth, and counts among his influences Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Arlo Guthrie, as well as songwriters like Wecker, Wader, and Mey. He sings politically engaged songs against racism, fascism, emotional coldness, and discrimination. At the same time, he is a poet and singer who knows how to move and touch his audience – and precisely because he always remains authentic.
MILOU&FLINT
Two who counter difficult times with feather-light poetry – music that makes you smile.
milou & flint charmingly tell stories in their songs that invite you on thought journeys. From every tone and every verse, a positive outlook on life and a little wink shines through. The melodies oscillate between down-to-earth singer/songwriter sound and the lightness of French chanson.
Characteristic of milou & flint, in addition to their crystal-clear two-part singing, are the diverse sounds of their numerous instruments, such as piano, guitar, accordion, stompbox, cello, trumpet, and melodica. The two multi-instrumentalists also enjoy experimenting with everyday objects like rolling marbles, rustling paper bags, and rattling heating systems, which they use as percussion instruments.
milou & flint already delighted the audience in 2018 as emerging artists of the "Walther-von-der-Vogelweide Prize" at the Songs on a Summer Evening.
MATTHIAS BRODOWY
One of the true masters of ceremonies of the present, who skillfully builds the bridge from the audience to the stage.
Matthias Brodowy is a cabaret artist, musician, and author. His programs combine linguistically sophisticated cabaret with musical elements, during which he often plays the piano. Since the 1990s, he has been present on German stages and has received multiple awards, including the German Cabaret Prize. In addition to solo performances, he moderates events and is engaged in cultural promotion. His work is characterized by sharp wit, linguistic sensitivity, and a feel for social issues.
