AB/CD - Bon Scott meets Brian Johnson
Germany's ACDC cover band number 1 is celebrating its 30th band anniversary in 2020
– Bon Scott meets Brian Johnson –
Who comes closest to the original? AB/CD
Malcolm Young follows Bon Scott to the "rock heaven," the rock Olympus. Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams bid farewell to AC/DC... Sad but true!
Even if the original will likely not be seen live anymore, AB/CD continues to offer fans the opportunity to enjoy their favorite music at concerts, performed by one of the world's best AC/DC tribute bands!
AC/DC, a synonym for hardness, raw guitar riffs, and catchy songs of immense energy.
The six musicians from the Frankfurt-Aschaffenburg area all grew up with the music of AC/DC. Once the decision was made to form a band, the direction was clear. The naming AB/CD (AB = Kfz – Aschaffenburg) was also obvious.
Initially, the focus was on the wild years. The time with the legendary singer BON SCOTT, who thrilled fans and critics alike. The most important credo for AB/CD was to capture the exact sound of the Australians that made the band famous in the 70s.
Then "Dimi Deeds" joined AB/CD and embodied Angus Young so perfectly that he became the focal point of the performances for the fans. Shortly thereafter, the band around Andy Kirchner decided to continue exploring new paths, going all out rather than holding back. Thus, two singers were engaged. The concept "Bon Scott meets Brian Johnson" was born. The intention: The late Bon Scott, who passed away in 1980, meets his successor Brian Johnson imaginatively at AB/CD performances.
Fans were thrilled, and ABCD continues to drive the atmosphere to a boiling point with classics like "T.N.T", "HIGHWAY TO HELL", "HELLS BELLS", or "THUNDERSTRUCK."
30 years of rock 'n' roll and more than 900 gigs are on the ABCD business card. The collaboration with URIAH HEEP, NAZARETH, WHITESNAKE, DONUTS, RODGAU MONOTONES, THE DEAD DAISIES, and many others speaks for itself!
One of the best cover bands according to industry press, AB/CD, sets the motto live: -LET THERE BE ROCK-
A must for every fan of top-notch rock music. The biggest hits and also "song exotics" of the Australian cult rockers AC/DC will be brought live to the stage. AB/CD is already celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2020.
