Despite the cancellation of "Spirit of Santana" due to illness, we are very pleased to have secured a first-class lineup with "The Magic of Santana" from Hamburg, which guarantees an equally splendid and uninterrupted concert evening!
"The Magic of Santana" is more than a tribute band – it is a homage to a way of life. With every note, the musicians bring the unmistakable spirit of Carlos Santana back to life: sensual, powerful, and full of passion. Warm guitar sounds merge with pulsating Latin rhythms, while percussion and organ carry the sound and transport the audience into a world of fire, yearning, and pure energy. Here, music is not just played – it is lived. Songs like “Black Magic Woman,” “Oye Como Va,” or “Samba Pa Ti” unfold their full emotional depth and invite everyone to let go, dance, and feel the moment. Between virtuoso solos and grooving rhythms, an atmosphere arises that touches the skin and captivates the audience from the first to the last minute. "The Magic of Santana" manages to authentically capture the legendary sound while giving it its own lively twist. The result is an intense live experience that evokes memories, creates goosebumps, and makes the timeless magic of this music palpable again. On guitar, we have Gerd Schlüter, who has long reconstructed the sound and equipment of Carlos Santana down to the smallest detail. Jens Skwirblies on organ and keyboards forms the supporting foundation of the band. Pulsating percussion is provided by Pablo Escayola and Heinz Lichius, while Oliver Steinwede brings grooving drums into the space, and Martin Hohmeier lays the solid bass foundation. A second guitar plays in the hands of Oliver Schröder, while Daniel Durst carries the stage forward with his charismatic voice. The Magic of Santana presents the great Santana highlights from over 40 years of band history – many titles from legendary albums like “Abraxas,” “Santana III,” “Moonflower,” “Marathon,” and “Zebop!” This evening will be “Supernatural” – an energetic concert that redistributes the essence of the Santana era in fascinating live power.
The band is considered one of the best Santana tribute bands in Europe. Time and again, it performs alongside former Santana members, including Alex Ligertwood (vocals), Tony Lindsay (vocals), Raul Rekow (congas), and Richard Baker (keyboards). The Magic of Santana has already thrilled audiences in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Austria, and the Czech Republic – and now brings the sound of the legend to Gut Oestergaard.
From the seats, the view of the stage is somewhat restricted as there is also a dance floor in front of the stage.
The concert will take place in the Kulturscheune regardless of the weather.
