Kunsttage
Barsinghausen – Craftsmanship that surprises
When
the Kunsttage Barsinghausen takes place on February 21 and 22, 2026, the
school center "Am Spalterhals" will once again become a meeting point for art and craftsmanship, a weekend full of inspiration for everyone seeking the extraordinary. More than 90
exhibitors will showcase their diverse works along one of the longest
creative miles in the Hannover region.
Chance
meets intention: Harmonograms with Ursula van Wilgenburg
Ursula
van Wilgenburg's harmonograms combine art and movement. With pendulums,
finely balanced line images are created that radiate both calm and fascination. Each piece is a meditative unique creation made from time and feeling. In addition to the harmonograms, she creates unique works in acrylic, especially using the self-taught pouring technique, airbrush, brushes, and masking tape, where chance plays a central role.
Fine
threads and strong shapes – Silk reimagined
Esther
Hansen is devoted to the polishing of silk and various wrapping techniques, showcasing how versatile this noble material can be. With a keen sense for
colors, structures, and shapes, she creates textile works, such as light silk clothing for the upcoming spring. In doing so, she combines her clothing with sparkling necklaces adorned with Swarovski pearls, adding additional shine and expression to her creations.
Natural,
timeless, unique – Olive wood creations by Baha Elloumi
Baha
Elloumi brings a piece of nature to the Kunsttage with his handmade olive wood creations. Whether it's cutting boards, bowls, or salad utensils, each piece is carefully sanded and finished with olive oil. This creates durable,
everyday kitchen helpers.
Art
from the shell: Eggshell turning with Babett Bazant
At
first glance, the works of Babett Bazant draw attention. With the finest turning technique, she processes eggshells into intricately detailed art objects. Perforated patterns, painted surfaces, and lovingly crafted motifs inside make each egg a small piece of art, already evoking the joy of Easter.
Experience
craftsmanship up close
At
the Kunsttage, not only the finished work is in focus, but also the journey to get there. Several exhibitors will work on site, demonstrating, for
example, how to create paper chains and greeting cards, bind wreaths, glaze ceramics, create dolls, lace-making, and various decorative objects using napkin technique. Visitors can watch, ask questions, and experience how ideas transform into real unique creations with time, skill, and passion.
