Bugge Wesseltoft, Magnus Öström and Dan Berglund release their third studio album. More relaxed than ever, these veterans of Nordic jazz celebrate seven acoustic-electronic compositions. US guitarist John Scofield makes a guest appearance.

Mountains and valleys are not just the result of geological processes. They have always been symbols of good and bad times for people. Bugge Wesseltoft, Magnus Öström, and Dan Berglund have experienced some of these in the last 30 years – but recently the path has been primarily uphill. Since 2019, the Swedish-Norwegian band Rymden (translated as "space" or "outer space") has released two studio albums and a live record. The mix of acoustic and electronic sounds has been enthusiastically received by both audiences and press. "It’s great music and great fun," concluded the blog thejazzmann.com in its review of "Space Sailors."

"Valleys & Mountains" is the third work from the Scandinavians. It again celebrates the trio's love for virtuoso-played music in the style of the 1970s, for fusion jazz, prog rock, and even classical music.
There are surprising time shifts, deeply rumbling bass lines, and shimmering synthesizer soundscapes. One thing is clearly evident: Rymden has never sounded this relaxed. This band has found itself over the course of hundreds of concerts and knows exactly what it wants. The miniature "Milam Bardo" emerged from joint trio improvisations; the atmospheric "Song from the Valley" shows the trio from a previously unknown, ambient-influenced side.

MINE - KILLER TOUR 2026

What a ride! After MINE's album "Baum" was released in spring 2024 and debuted at number 7 on the German album charts, fans and critics agreed that the artist had achieved a true milestone. Following a sold-out album tour, the orchestral version of the "Baum" show followed in 2025, where MINE incorporated her acrobatic act into the concerts for the first time: What began as a sporty-nerdy hobby propelled the performances of the musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and visionary to the next level! Together with the choir of the Ffortissibros, the chosen family of the MINE orchestra, her band, and the legendary "Baum" stage set, MINE turned the evenings of the nearly completely sold-out orchestral tour into sensational successes, even worthy of a news report. At the tour kickoff, Der Spiegel asked MINE what success means to her: "In the freedom to make my art the way I want." MINE didn't hesitate for a second with that response.

There's no getting around it: MINE has established herself as an indispensable figure in the German music scene with her unique mix of profound lyrics and innovative sounds. Her music unites pop, hip-hop, and orchestral elements in an impressive way, captivating an ever-widening audience. ALEXANDER HUBER (Huberbuam) - Bergwelt-Multivisionsvortrag: Zeit zum Atmen

Alexander Huber is one of the best climbers in the world. Together with his brother Thomas, he forms the climbing partnership “Die Huberbuam,” which has long been a term even outside of the Alpine world.

But what many do not know: the Buam are also active as soloists outside of the mountains. In his multivision lecture “Zeit zum Atmen,” Alexander Huber presents his audience with fascinating boundary areas of dizzying heights and paints a vivid picture of modern alpinism. Among other things, the exceptional climber takes the viewers on a journey to a 2500-meter high rock pillar in the Karakorum and shows spectacular images at the largest overhang in Europe.

Other highlights document an ascent of the Watzmann east face and an extraordinary music project at Heidenpfeiler in the Pfalz. Through the multivision technique, the audience is virtually present at all these events and becomes part of the fascinating exceptional world of mountains. The breathtaking heights and challenges serve as a metaphor for life itself. For in every challenging mountain and life situation, one should always pause and find one thing: time to breathe! Because the mountain itself can never be conquered – but one’s own self can be!

Die Gewürztraminer & Da Gemischte Satz - Balkan-Gypsy-Swing aus Wien

Austria's most innovative Gypsy - Balkan troupe detonates like an avalanche in the ears and dance legs of their listeners. The virtuoso instrumentalists navigate through wonderfully thought-out arrangements across all conceivable music genres, delivering an evening of concerts that allows one to listen, marvel, and jump with joy. Anyone who loves folk, rock, hip hop, swing, Balkan music, and much more is in the right place here. The Gewürztraminer play what they feel like and impressively show how music can connect.

The Gewürztraminer have been an integral part of the Vienna music scene for several years. With their innovative songs, which have always been a melting pot of cultures, they have performed at many festivals and concert venues in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Hungary. Now the band returns with a new album and once again sets new standards. The Viennese background of the Gypsy - Balkan band comes more to the fore, and the lyrics and music create a bridge from extremely danceable to melancholic. The production sounds fresh, cheeky, and modern. One can find an acoustic techno track about global warming alongside the Viennese waltz "Es gheat vü mehr gschmust" with the simple appeal to give more love, regardless of origin, job, or orientation. Of course, humor is also in abundance with the Gewürztraminer. There will be wordplay and puns galore, and the lyrics encourage reflection and a smile. A whole song about the band's joy of the rustic card game Schnapsen, as well as one about a Balkanese who sacrifices everything to buy a Mercedes. The title "Bodn gehn" is understood as an expression of longing and desire for summer freedom and post-corona lockdown traumatization, wrapped in a pop music typical relationship drama. Stylistically, it goes topsy-turvy as always. It opens with the big band dance hammer "Bussi Bussi BB". Followed by a hip hop poser song that gripes in the old rap tradition and is dedicated to the superiority of one's own performance and music, of course, with the classic Gewürztraminer wink. Thus, various themes take turns, creating a versatile album. A definite auditory delight for all Gypsy and Balkan music fans and those who aspire to become one.
