KLAUS HOFFMANN
A master of German-language sung short stories.
Klaus Hoffmann can undoubtedly be called a legend. Since the late 1960s, the singer, author, and actor has been present with his songs. Influenced by great chansonniers like Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour, he developed his own style, which combines mischievous humor, melancholy, and intimate confessions. With his music, he has repeatedly managed to tell emotional stories and take the audience on a journey. Hoffmann's work, characterized by poetic depth and emotional authenticity, reflects a rare connection of artistic excellence and human warmth.
DOMINIK PLANGGER & CLAUDIA FENZL
One who translates the earthy essence of his South Tyrolean homeland into his compositions with a very personal sensibility.
Dominik Plangger is an artist who has something to say. Whether it's about society, politics, or simply everyday life issues - the songwriter always manages to get to the heart of his topics. "They are still lying and keeping us dumb, many hypocrites who govern us." The songwriter was born in 1980 in South Tyrol, has been making music since early youth, and counts among others Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, and Arlo Guthrie, but also songwriters like Wecker, Wader, and Mey as his influences. He sings politically engaged songs against racism, fascism, emotional coldness, and discrimination. At the same time, he is a poet and singer who knows how to move and touch his audience – and this is precisely because he always remains authentic.
MILOU&FLINT
Two who counter heavy times with feather-light poetry – music that makes you smile.
Charming, milou & flint tell stories in their songs that invite listeners on journeys of thought. Each tone and verse resonates with a positive outlook on life and a little wink. The melodies fluctuate between earthy singer/songwriter sound and the lightness of French chanson.
Characteristic for milou & flint, in addition to their crystal-clear two-part harmony, are the diverse sounds of their numerous instruments such as piano, guitar, accordion, foot-drum, cello, trumpet, and melodica. The two multi-instrumentalists also like to experiment with everyday objects such as rolling marbles, crumpling paper bags, and clattering radiators, which they use as percussion instruments.
milou & flint already delighted the audience as young artists of the "Walther-von-der-Vogelweide-Award" at Songs an einem Sommerabend in 2018.
MATTHIAS BRODOWY
One of the true masters of ceremony of the present, who skillfully builds the bridge from the audience to the stage.
Matthias Brodowy is a cabaret artist, musician, and author. His programs combine linguistically sophisticated cabaret with musical elements, in which he often plays the piano. Since the 1990s, he has been present on German stages and has received several awards, including the German Small Arts Prize. In addition to solo performances, he moderates events and is engaged in cultural promotion. His work is characterized by sharp wit, linguistic sensitivity, and a sense for societal issues.
