Fola Dada & Martin Meixner - Musikalische Berührungen
This concert is based on the idea of sharing sound, vibration, word, and music, thereby touching people deeply within, in their souls. The intention goes beyond mere performing. Fola Dada, the singer from Stuttgart, and Martin Meixner, the pianist and organist also from Stuttgart, have set this intention as their mission.
What if, for the moment of a concert, one would share well-being, relaxation, and even love, connecting with others in a way that benefits everyone?
To achieve this, the two musicians choose songs from a wide spectrum of jazz and pop, but one or two gospels also find their place. The spoken word is also utilized, as Fola Dada reads inspiring texts in between.
This duo builds on a long musical friendship, which makes their interplay both intimate and surprising, as “when you know each other well and trust each other, you can let go and explore entirely new paths,” says Fola Dada.
The recipient of the German Jazz Award 2022 is particularly looking forward to these concerts because they are so much more than just singing and piano. It is more like immersing oneself in a very friendly atmosphere that leaves everyone inspired.
