The Story
At first glance, the 4000-inhabitant place Kann-singen appears rather inconspicuous. Not much is happening here. However, the residents of the town, pardon the small town, actually, it's just a village, feel very at home here and diligently go about their daily lives. Everyone knows everyone here, with all their quirks, strengths, and weaknesses. After all, the hair salon that has been empty for several years has newly reopened. The three-in-one concept, freely following the motto, “Nails, Hair, Döner - We make you more beautiful” seems to cover at least the most important basic needs of the 21st century.
Felix grew up here. He diligently leads the local church choir. However, the quality of the four-member ensemble does not necessarily contribute to filling the mostly sparsely attended services by Pastor Glöckner with life. On the 50th birthday of altar server Jürgen, he serendipitously meets the newly moved-in Roxy. But... is it really a coincidence? She tries to lead the mama's boy Felix, still single at 43, to unexpected heights of music. She sees in him significantly more potential and persuades him to found a musical choir and realize his own compositions.
At first, this goes quite well, but suddenly not only the choir singers want more, Felix also enters into a deal that is not good for him at all. And why do people suddenly need hairdresser appointments? Not just because of the upcoming show?
Something seems to be changing in the village. And changes are not always good. Will they be beneficial for Kannsingen? And what role does Felix play in this? Questions to which there can only be one answer... let's start dreaming.
The new musical by the Chorus Delicati e.V. promises an evening full of entertainment with singing, dancing, and theater. Over 30 actors will transport the audience into a world where values and community are at the forefront and how quickly everything can change when one gets involved with the wrong people.
The piece is written by creative chorus minds themselves, and all participants are excited to present DREAM ON to the audience after almost 4 years of development time.
Duration: The musical consists of two parts of 80 minutes each with a 30-minute break.
