Open Air: Jazz am Beetzsee mit dem Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg
The Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg is dedicated to the jazz era of Hardbop, which emerged in the 1950s through musicians like Art Blakey and his Jazz Messengers, Horace Silver, Lee Morgan, Clifford Brown, and others as an evolution of BeBop. Highlights from this period will be presented, along with songs from the Great American Songbook and original compositions. A horn player, a full double bass, elegantly light piano playing, and an impulsive drumming make the Jazzkollektiv Babelsberg an experience. In addition to the rhythmic drive, elements from soul and blues are also incorporated.
The Jazzkollektiv is complemented by Manuela Scheidt, who will create a unique atmosphere with her voice.
