Klavierabend Lang Lang
Charisma and dedication – star pianist Lang Lang, celebrated by the New York Times as “the most sensational artist in the classical music scene,” is a global phenomenon. No other classical musician has garnered such worldwide attention in recent years as he has. The magic of his performances lies not only in Lang Lang’s extraordinary and flawless technique but also, and above all, in the emotional depth of his interpretations, his charisma, and the dedication with which he captivates the audience in his musical cosmos. Furthermore, Lang Lang is an tireless ambassador of classical music, passionately advocating for music education and the promotion of young musicians through his Lang Lang International Music Foundation.
Lang Lang’s piano evening at the Konzerthaus Freiburg brings together masterpieces of European Romanticism: Beginning with Fauré’s enchantingly colorful Pavane, Lang Lang dedicates himself to Schumann’s highly dramatic and dreamlike “Kreisleriana,” a true masterpiece of German Romanticism. One can also look forward to a selection of Chopin’s Mazurkas and his passionate Polonaise in F-sharp minor as the crowning finale of a very special piano evening, with which Lang Lang returns – finally! – to the Albert concerts after his last concert in 2021.
