WOLF MAAHN & Band - LIVE 25
His songs achieved cult status in the 80s, and his albums continue to regularly land in the sales charts today. Wolf Maahn is considered one of the most influential and enduring musicians in the country. Over 1200 live shows and numerous festivals have made the left-handed Berliner "one of the greatest German live legends" (wdr.de). He can rely on hits and lyrical masterpieces such as "Somewhere in Germany," "I'm Waiting for You," or "Wonders of This Time."
After an Open Air tour with Midnight Oil and shortly after the release of his 14th studio album 'Break Out Of Babylon,' he had to take a longer live break due to the pandemic. But now Mr. "Roses in the Asphalt" is finally back with his top-notch band. With him are songs from the latest album, as well as a journey through his Deutschrock classics from four decades. Additionally, as recently mentioned by Rolling Stone magazine, the "maahnish magical moments."
And it's always lovely to see an audience that largely disregards target groups singing, dancing, and celebrating together. A full-page concert review in the Hamburger Morgenpost bore the headline "Wolf Maahn played his audience 'giddy with happiness!'". It could hardly be better summarized than this real live experience.
