RHYTHM OF THE DANCE – TOUR 2026
After the incredible success of the anniversary tour 2025 with sold-out shows throughout Germany, Rhythm of the Dance will again captivate the audience in 2026! This electrifying Irish dance and music spectacle brings Irish culture to life anew, connecting the raw beauty of its origins with a contemporary vision of the future.
"This is the new era of Irish music and dance," says choreographer James Greenan. "We not only preserve our heritage - we develop it further and bring fresh energy and powerful stories to the stage that deeply move the audience."
Rhythm of the Dance is more than just a dance show and takes the audience on a journey through the history of Irish culture, told through vibrant choreography, dynamic staging, and live music. The show honors the deeply rooted traditions of Irish performance but also transcends boundaries, offering a modern perspective that evokes emotions, prompts reflection, and leaves a lasting impression.
Over 7 million fans worldwide stand for over 25 years of Rhythm of the Dance. Like lightning, Rhythm of the Dance has struck with its pulsating rhythms, pure energy, and melodic Irish sounds in 50 countries around the globe.
Fans around the world can experience over 2000 years of dance, music, and culture from pre-Celtic times to modern sounds today in over 200 shows per year, all combined in a two-hour show. Nimble feet dance across the floor in breathtaking speed, fascinatingly synchronized, with elaborate and sensational light and sound effects, imaginative costumes, and fantastic music characterizing one of the world's TOP 3 Irish step dance shows.
In addition to the incredible performances of the athletic dancers, who are among the best in their field, Rhythm of the Dance features outstanding singers and musicians of traditional Irish music. This combination of the crème de la crème of dancers, singers, and musicians, linked with the latest technology, takes the audience on an exciting and energetic 2-hour journey through time, creating enthusiasm.
With lightning speed, the talented dancers undergo countless costume changes during the show. The live band consists of top-class musicians who master a range of sometimes extraordinary instruments to perfection, including the traditional Uileann Pipes (Irish bagpipe), the Bodhran (Irish frame drum), violins, flutes, accordions, harp, and banjo.
When it comes to dancing, there are no language barriers, one of the reasons why Rhythm of the Dance is an international success. In China, 50,000 spectators experienced the Irish dance show live, and a total of 750 million viewers watched the show on Chinese National TV. In Poland, Rhythm of the Dance was awarded the prize for "The Best Irish Dance Show," and it was nominated as the "Best Dance Show" by the renowned IQ Magazine. In the USA, the show performed for 2 months at Dolly Parton’s theme park, Dollywood, near Tennessee; in 2015, the show appeared at the closing ceremony of the European Games in Azerbaijan, to name just a few of the numerous performances and awards.
