But that’s not all: With his own ZDF music show, which premiered successfully in September 2021, he received the next accolade. With over 3.8 million viewers, the first “Giovanni Zarrella Show” won the Saturday night show race. There, Giovanni presents an impressive showcase of his own versatility, his entertainer qualities, combined with dance skills and musicianship – along with many national and international star guests. In 2022, his third album “PER SEMPRE” also reached #1 on the German album charts, and he received the German Television Award in the same year for his performance as a moderator of his own Saturday night show in the category “Best Individual Performance/Moderation Entertainment for The Giovanni Zarrella Show.”

In the summer of 2023, Giovanni played his first open-air headliner tour – with “Eine italienische Sommernacht,” he also filled numerous venues in 2024 and left happy faces everywhere! Additionally, in the fall of 2023, he won the hearts of the audience with his participation as a coach in the 13th season of the popular casting show “The Voice of Germany.” With his charismatic nature, heart, mind, and talent as an entertainer, he impressed both the audience and the contestants alike. His spontaneous duets with the talents and jurors were and are highlights of the shows; with his empathetic and likeable manner, he quickly won the hearts of everyone involved and the viewers.

In the coming summer, Giovanni Zarrella will finally bring sunny Dolce Vita feelings live to the open-air stages of Germany again, musically creating a successful bridge between the greatest classics of the younger German music culture and the language of his parental home, presenting it in a completely new and his very own way. There is especially great anticipation for his own new songs and the new album UNIVERSO, which will celebrate its live premiere in the summer of 2025!!

At Oper mal anders, guests experience the masterpieces of opera literature almost "naked" – without singers, orchestra, and stage design. One laughs, one cries, and above all, one not only understands the sometimes outrageous plotlines but also the hidden musical connections. All of this is presented by Richard Vardigans with profound knowledge, pianistic virtuosity, and his unmistakable English humor - a one-man show of the highest caliber.

The native Englishman studied piano, violin, and flute in London and Birmingham. He then studied conducting as a DAAD scholarship holder at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, where he was a master student of Franco Ferrara. For over 35 years, he has been active as a pianist, conductor, and lecturer – most recently as the general music director of the Erzgebirgische Theater und Orchester GmbH.
In addition to CD and studio recordings (including for the BBC and Dutch Broadcasting), he has been giving concert and opera introductions in various languages for many years, with a focus on proximity to the audience. With his series "Oper mal anders," he has become a sought-after guest throughout Germany.

RICHLINGS REAL REALITY

In contrast to virtual reality, which generates an apparent reality, satire elevates reality to REAL REALITY, where, like in a crime story, there is an abundance of perpetrators. Mathias Richling follows the traces of madness at the crime scene of Berlin, but also on international stages, to uncover the roots of evil in politics and society with detective-like intuition. The perpetrators are known, although, like in every crime story, the question arises whether the perpetrators are sometimes also victims. In the new, constantly updated Richling program, among others, German politicians, as well as Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump are on the wanted list. Richling mercilessly analyzes the victim's side: the voters who no longer know who or what to choose; the taxpayers whose money ends up in the hands of terrorists via dark channels; the "Apology All" who lose sight of their goals…

Richling, celebrated by many critics as the best parodist in the German cabaret scene, presents his latest observations as always in a literarily ambitious form (there are already master's and doctoral theses on his texts). The director is author and SWR moderator Günter Verdin. One critic describes Richling's transformation skills as follows: "He doesn't even need a big mask; the change of voice and posture, along with the use of a few gestures, is enough to recognize whom he sketches and caricatures through humorous and sometimes bizarre exaggeration."
