WARTEN AUF´N BUS
Ralle and Hannes are sitting at the bus stop in Briesenow, somewhere in Brandenburg. Every day. The two have been friends since school and have gone through all times together. The good times, when Ralle was still an engineer in open-pit mining and Hannes was a proud agricultural scientist, are long gone. After that, a lot happened: the turnaround, divorces, and then nothing anymore.
Anyone who thinks their story would be one of those typical East German loser stories is mistaken. Ralle and Hannes still have each other. And then there's bus driver Kathrin, whose stop in Briesenow is always an event. Moreover, there are, as could be expected in a story from Brandenburg, Nazis that one must defend against and village bullies who have been a pain since school days.
The successful RBB series "Warten auf´n Bus" by Oliver Bukowski, Anne Rabe, and Sophie Decker portrays a picture of Brandenburg's province contrary to common clichés. With a lot of heart, it tells the story of two friends, alongside whom a piece of German history can also be traced, but who are primarily just two people with heart and humor. Director Christine Hofer adapts the series for the theater and brings "Warten auf´n Bus" to the Vaganten stage.
