KulturBad Meinberg Musik mit Plug´n Play
Petra Kraatz is a professional music educator and teaches all age groups in a music school in the areas of recorder, flute, piano, and early musical education. Her musical motto is “Music was my first love – and it will be my last.” This song by John Miles encapsulates Petra's life motto. And so it is not surprising that everything that can be made into music is used by her. Above all, the voice, which resonates in different genres, but also piano, flute, melodica, cajón, and even the washboard are not safe from her.
Peter Bartsch is a media designer in real life and has been playing guitar in various music formations for many years. His first contacts with the stage occurred during his German studies as an actor and musician at the Westfälische Kammerspiele in Paderborn. Later, he organized, among many other music events, the open stage in Paderborn for 9 years: the “Einfach-So-Show.” The guitar is his instrument. With picks on his fingers, he enchants the audience with fingerpicking style, and when the blues harp and his voice join in... oh yes, he also plays ukulele and cajón! Pure passion and joy of life.
The program “Tribute to a Century of Folk Music” - played, heard, sung, loved, and lived a thousand times - and thus two musicians rather accidentally find each other and discover their love (again) for old songs, for singing along, reflecting, and remembering. The audience will embark on a journey. Is a washboard just a washboard or can one even make music with it? Just as Peter and Petra encounter “their music,” with little stories, with their voices, instruments, and interpretations. It will be an entertaining evening where everyone is welcome to sing along.
