Colors of Big Band - Willi Nuszbaum & The Hornflakes
Willi Nuszbaum and The Hornflakes are a big band from the Augsburg area that has firmly established itself in the scene through numerous concerts and balls, such as the gala ball at the Parktheater / Kurhaus Göggingen. Band leader Wilhelm Nuszbaum has been the musical and organizational director for nearly 30 years in front of his 20 musicians and has let the crisp brass sound resonate in various locations, such as at the Augsburg Opera Ball, in the Munich Lustspielhaus, at summer parties on Lake Ammersee, or at events at the University of Augsburg, among others. During this time, there have been collaborations with many renowned singers from the Augsburg and Munich music scene, such as Alexandrina Simeon, Kilian Sladek, Martin Schmid, Paul Miller, Alexander Seitz, Olga Dudkova, or Barbara Frühwald.
At the concert program "Colors of Big Band," the audience can look forward to a varied lineup. Big band numbers from Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Bill Potts, Peter Herbolzheimer, as well as songs by Frank Sinatra, Robbie Williams, Caro Emerald, Michael Bublé, or Roger Cicero will be performed. A special focus will be on the two soloists of the evening, Alexandrina Simeon and Kilian Sladek, who will present many vocal pieces – individually or in a duet.
