The Runrig Experience - 50 Years of Runrig

Runrig were one of the most successful Scottish bands, with a loyal fanbase not only in Scotland but also in Denmark and Germany, having several number-one hits and albums in the charts. The Scottish Celtic rock band was founded in 1973 on the Isle of Skye. The band released fourteen studio albums, with some of their songs also sung in Scottish Gaelic.

Kamm ON! Poetry Slam - Best Of - Open Air im Kulturgarten

"Winners only" is the motto of the Poetry Slam at Kammgarn Kulturgarten! This inspiring competition of poetic and textual art is no longer a hidden gem, but an incomparable entertainment format that is popular throughout the German-speaking world and regularly attracts full houses in Kaiserslautern.

It is high time to organize a Best Of event, where five selected winners from past Kamm ON! editions will perform. Die-hard fans will know that a golden comb was previously awarded based on audience decision. However, since all the protagonists this time already possess this coveted prize, something new will be introduced. What could it be?

The format for the open-air special is also new: all Slam professionals are allowed to perform twice, so that the audience can get the maximum dose of word art from these well-traveled language maestros. Metaphorically speaking, it's a bit more of a poetic showcase than a pure competition.

For those unfamiliar with Poetry Slam, here is a brief summary of the conditions: a microphone, six and a half minutes of speaking time, and a diverse mix of styles, texts, and performers. Anything that can be expressed with words and voice is allowed, except singing. Props and costumes are not permitted for the performance.

The evening will be hosted by the two-time Rhineland-Palatinate Poetry Slam champion "Phriedrich Chiller." Once again, the audience will decide who will win this best Poetry Slam of the season in the end.
