The Cologne artist Suscha Korte is known for her plates, which are painted in a perfect illusion of trompe l'œil. By using concrete, building materials, and partially neon writing, unusual and exciting artworks are created that leave the viewer in awe. Right at the entrance of the Bad Nauheim Kurpark lies the charming showroom of the Galerie am Dom. We are very much looking forward to toasting with you to the wonderful works of Suscha Korte.

Works by Rotraud von der Heide, performance artist, Berlin (Die Wüste lebt. Historical art and sustainability project of the 1980s), Daniela Butsch, Berlin (Night projection) and Rui Zhang/HfG Karlsruhe (Interactive installation on ocean pollution).

The exhibition is dedicated to the feminist activist and performance artist Rotraud von der Heide, Berlin, and presents her sustainable, climate- and human-friendly art project “Die Wüste lebt” from the 1980s, in which she developed urban and social utopias.
The exhibition transforms into a performance, as the artist will be present throughout the exhibition period. She will speak about her work. Discussion and talk rounds will create a vibrant art-action space.
The historical sustainability art project is contextualized with younger works that refer filmically and installatively to the world's oceans, such as the video “Speed Manipulation” by the film and moving image artist Daniela Butsch, Berlin. Her night projection extends the exhibition into the public realm. The installation “Jellystic” by media artist Rui Zhang, who was born in China and is currently studying at HfG Karlsruhe, is interactive and addresses ocean pollution.

On Monday, 12.05.2025, the Stadtmuseum Hofheim am Taunus at Burgstr. 11 will offer an event for people with dementia and their companions. It starts at 10:30 AM.

In a calm atmosphere and outside regular opening hours, participants will be offered coffee and cake. Then, under the title „Farbwelten – a meditative exploration“, the current special exhibition will be visited: „Heinz Battke 1900 – 1966“.
The exploration is intended to stimulate the senses; the exhibition space will serve as a personal retreat for peace and relaxation. The offer will be rounded off with an imaginative color meditation.

The event lasts from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Participation costs six euros per person. You can register by calling (06192) 2934-32/-34 or -35 or by email at fachstelledemenz.mtk@caritas-main-taunus.de. The Stadtmuseum, Burgstraße 11, has a barrier-free entrance and an elevator.

The cooperation project "Momente des Erlebens" is under the patronage of Hofheim's Mayor Christian Vogt. Cooperation partners are the Caritasverband Taunus e.V., the Catholic Adult Education (KEB) Catholic Region Taunus, and the magistrate of the district town Hofheim am Taunus – Stadtmuseum.
