Vorfreude auf Weihnachten: Workshop mit Illustratorin Svenja Kretschmer
From the depths of space directly to the heart
For his birthday, Bastian wishes for two things: a telescope and for his father not to forget his birthday. He cannot express this because he hasn't spoken since his mother died. Although Bastian does not receive the desired telescope, they go to the observatory. There, Bastian looks into the depths of the universe – and finds a story. That same night, he draws it in his sketchbook: It's about a boy named Buzz, who shoots himself into space with a rocket he built himself. After an adventurous journey, the Big Bang sends him back to the moon, and Buzz realizes that the most beautiful spot in the universe has always been right under his feet: Earth. And not only does the trip into space change Buzz, but it also transforms his creator, Bastian.
This workshop is about humor, the joy of experimentation, imperfection, and crazy ideas. Inspired by "Bastian," we will collectively develop our own characters, rockets, and yet unknown adventures.
