Hugo sieht zwar aus wie ein Erwachsener, ist aber in Wirklichkeit ein Kind in den besten Jahren. Mit Erwachsenwerden sei nicht mehr zu rechnen, sagt der Arzt. Dazu fehle es Hugo an Ernst und Würde. Zu den Kindern passt er aber auch nicht richtig. Außerdem will Hugo nicht mehr die sinnlosen Regeln der Erwachsenenwelt befolgen.

Wer nicht erwachsen ist, aber auch kein Kind mehr, ist ein Rätsel. Aber muss denn immer alles erklärbar sein? Und haben nicht alle dieselben Rechte – selbst die fantastischsten Außenseiter:innen? Toll wäre ein Ort, wo man alt und jung zugleich sein darf. Vielleicht weiß Oma Rabbitzky Rat, die als alte Häsin viel Kampfgeist besitzt und ein wenig verrückt ist. Zum Glück hat Hugo einen echten Freund, genug Fantasie und den Mut, sein Recht aufs Anderssein durchzusetzen.

Mit einer eigenen Bühnenfassung erzählen wir Hugos Geschichte für Kinder ab 6 Jahren, Erwachsene und natürlich ganz besonders für alle Kinder in den besten Jahren!

Hugo may look like an adult, but he is, in fact, a child in the best years. The doctor says there’s no hope for him to grow up. Hugo lacks seriousness and dignity. But he doesn’t really fit in with the other children either. Moreover, Hugo no longer wants to follow the meaningless rules of the adult world.

Anyone who is not an adult but also no longer a child is a puzzle. But does everything always have to be explainable? And don’t all have the same rights – even the most fantastical outsiders? It would be great to have a place where one can be old and young at the same time. Perhaps Grandma Rabbitzky, who as an old hare has a lot of fighting spirit and is a little crazy, knows what to do. Luckily, Hugo has a real friend, enough imagination, and the courage to assert his right to be different.

With our own stage adaptation, we tell Hugo’s story for children aged 6 and up, adults, and of course, especially for all children in the best years!
