Artists
Katrin Ambrosius studied at the Hochschule für Musik Leipzig with Prof. Hertel. After passing the state exam, she completed a multi-year advanced study at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with Prof. Kryssa and Prof. Besrodny, graduating with distinction. This was followed by a temporary contract at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, after which she was a member of the radio orchestra in Leipzig, the State Philharmonic Hamburg, and had a temporary contract with the Munich Philharmonic. Her training as a music therapist and as an NLP practitioner (with Dr. Bandler, USA) rounds out her experience as a soloist, educator, orchestral musician, and chamber musician. She is particularly passionate about the musical legacy of her grandfather, the composer Hermann Ambrosius. Through numerous recordings in radio and television stations, she has been able to introduce her grandfather's music to a wide audience. She is a multiple award winner of the Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig. Her instrument is from Giovanni Battista Gabrielli, dating from 1769.
Daniela Warter was born in Bayreuth and studied piano with a focus on song accompaniment and chamber music with Prof. Manfred Dietz and Monika Betzel, as well as music education at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. Even during her school years, she gained experience in piano accompaniment, which she continued to expand during her studies. Since 2007, Daniela Warter has been working as a freelance piano accompanist in the areas of song and chamber music, as well as a repetiteur. Her repertoire focus lies on the literature of the Romantic period.
The program is presented in cooperation with the small theater Haar and the dbpg and is recorded for the Periakten platform.
