Klaus Birk & Andreas Müller - Homeländ Zack
What now, Savior… does a strong expression swing in the title? Yes and no: strength yes, expression absolutely! No, not together. Although it is precisely here that it is crucial to come together with powerful expression. But let’s go in order: Once upon a time, there were two – extremely! – hostile regions, pardon, lands, one was Baden and the other was Swabia, who said “Pfui” to each other if at all, and attributed yellow feet to each other. Thankfully, all this is long ago. So long that one region has dropped its “le” and today (especially domestically) appears as Gloubl Pläyer. At the mention of an appearance, two come into play who are writing history. As peacemakers, they have joined forces. As bold demolishers of language barriers between Badisch and Schwäbisch, as advocates for understanding for the admired regional partners behind the great Black Forest. Here they come: Klaus Birk, the Swabian and cabaret grandmaster from Tübingen, side by side with Andreas Müller, parodist and radio comedy star from – could it be more Baden? – Baden-Baden. The two want to achieve the seemingly impossible. Appear together! A griffin, a deer, is the coat of arms of the region complete? If it were only that simple. After all, the two know each other, they appreciate each other, and they understand each other. Moreover, they bring the very best intentions: “We don’t get upset, just stirred up!”
Klaus Birk is a Swabian from the eastern edge of the forest, studied law, toured with Bernd Kohlhepp for ten years across the republic, appeared in over 50 TV shows (ARD, ZDF, SWR, SWF, SF1, and ORF, USSR TV). Since 1992, he has been on the road as a solo artist, tirelessly writing for film, television, radio, newspapers, cabaret, and theater, and boasts over 20 stage programs of his own.
Andreas Müller is from Baden-Baden, a comedian, parodist, musician, the voice of the last chancellors and state premiers, and the comedy chief of SWR3. He created radio cult series like “Feinkost Zipp,” the “Lallers,” or “Jogis Jungs.” With “Karls coole Corona-Kniffs” he overcame the pandemic of the same name. With guitar and keyboard, he is present despite multimedia inserts.
