WIR WOLLEN NIE NIE NIE
A visually powerful myth is told in episodic form: Two inseparable bodies wash up in a cold world. Barely arrived, a little oddball intrudes on their togetherness... Skillful puppet play, virtuosic acrobatics, and dance draw us into the spell of the mysterious creatures and their quirky story.
On the steps of a mysterious staircase that continuously opens new rooms, the two protagonists experience a whirlpool of raw brutality, deep trust, and quirky poetry. They are driven by the fear of mutual detachment. But what to do when a little oddball with vague intentions pushes into the divided togetherness in the grotesque world of adults? Then the question arises of who is actually manipulating whom, anew.
Skillful puppet play, virtuosic acrobatics, and dance captivate the audience. The abstract world created by the protagonists feels strangely real and familiar; it warms and disturbs at the same time. It offers space for questions about individuality, community, or authenticity. Behind the masks of these figures are the puppeteer Jarnoth and aerial artist Moritz Haase, who have conceived this associative and sarcastically dark spectacle under the direction of Philipp Boë and now bring it to the stage with great dedication and artistic mastery. The turbulent double act of the protagonists creates a whirlpool of images, movements, and emotions that touches, delights, and captivates.
The production WIR WOLLEN NIE NIE NIE is the first part of a trilogy that consists of stylistically and thematically interconnected yet independent pieces.
The company "Raum 305" was founded by director Philipp Boë, puppeteer JARNOTH, and trapeze artist Moritz Haase. It aims to develop an innovative cross-genre stage language. For their pieces, which can be classified under New Circus and touch through a high degree of authenticity and virtuosity, the fusion of aerial acrobatics, puppetry, physical theater, and dance provides the artistic foundation.
