AXEL PRAHL & DAS INSELORCHESTER - "MEHR – Das Konzert zum Album"
Much of what the media appreciates about him, but even more what the audience loves about him, can be found in his songs. Prahl sings Prahl – authentically, down-to-earth, earthy, with wit and a joy for making music. For many, his debut album "Blick aufs Mehr" was a surprise, and for not a few, the new favorite record. In November 2018, his long-awaited second studio album "MEHR" was released. In addition to that, and of course beyond, there are – finally again concerts. Now, with the first 7-inch release "Timpete," something new is on the horizon and will be presented live for the first time on his summer tour. With Axel Prahl, it is not a singing actor who takes to the German (music) stages, but a wonderful musician and singer with songs that have sprung from his own pen and experience. His celebrated band, which is by no means an afterthought, is a small, handpicked group of nine musicians who bring resonant names from the German rock, jazz, and classical scene. Leading the way is Danny Dziuk, who has elevated the reputation of Annett Louisan and Stoppok with his songs and lyrics. The musician Prahl ruminates and rages, whispers and sighs, is biting yet blue-eyed good, stirs and seduces. Above all, Axel Prahl is entirely himself as a musician, or rather "in the role of his life," as "ZDF-Aspekte" noted with some delight. Axel Prahl (voc, guitars) Danny Dziuk (keys, backing vocals, arrangements and musical direction) Sylvia Eulitz (cello, backing vocals), Christiane Buchenau (viola, backing vocals), Rainer Korf (violin), Nicolai Ziel (drums, percussion), Johannes Feige (guitars, backing vocals), Tom Baumgarte (bass, backing vocals), Tom Keller (sax, clarinet, flute), Jörg Mischke (keys, accordion, backing vocals)
