Pariser Flair "Femmes fatales - Heldinnen der Freiheit"
Step inside, noble ladies and gentlemen, dare to enter our salon of Femmes extraordinaires.
What defines us, you might ask? Feel free to take a look even before you hear us. Ah, beautiful and dangerous at the same time, you say, is what you believe makes a femme fatale? Well, you are right. On one hand. And yet, on the other hand, it is far too little to describe us... seductive - rebellious, political - provocative, passionate - capable of suffering, convincing - underestimated, committed - sophisticated, attractive? ... No adjective is good enough to come close to the truth.
From the very moment Eve gave you men the apple, we knew that we must be to blame for everything... but one must not confuse an apple with a pear - you will also learn to appreciate the eroticism of the latter in our program...
God knows how many battles we have fought, even won battles that were actually doomed to fail. But no price was too high for us to uphold our ideals and convictions, sometimes loudly, sometimes subtly, as we women are. Suffrage, self-determination, financial and sexual independence - nothing was simply given to us.
From Eve and Cleopatra to Beate Uhse, Emmeline Pankhurst, Josephine Baker, and Marie Curie, we will lovingly unveil some secrets of these Femmes fatales without exposing them.
In our program, you will find out, among other things, why the English suffragettes were true fashion experts aside from their political engagement, and what Cleopatra had to do with vibrators.
We - a charming presenter, a cleaning-obsessed sensitive pianist, and a “bubbly” chanteuse - will present to you musical and literary portraits of some of our sisters who have gifted women a significant degree of freedom and equality.
For is not woman the better half of humanity? Do not grieve, dear men, for there will at least be consensus among you: we women are in any case more fascinating...
