"What can be seen from here"
Luise's grandmother Selma can foresee death. Whenever an okapi appears in her dream, someone in her small Westerwald village dies within the next 24 hours. However, it remains unclear who it will be. As death approaches once again, they try to quickly express all the secrets and innermost feelings they have kept hidden for a lifetime. Through Luise's eyes and ears, we gradually learn how the individual life stories are intertwined: how the optician who loves Selma fails to confess his love; how Elsbeth finds out that her husband has cheated on her; how Luise falls in love with Frederik while he lives a life as a Buddhist monk in Japan; and of Luise's childhood friend Martin and his alcoholic father Palm at the hunting stand. And of many others. And of love. And of death.

"Miss Julie" by August Strindberg
In the erotic atmosphere of the midsummer festival, the two main characters meet: Freshly engaged, Julie, the daughter of the estate owner, dances with the staff. It is a night when everything seems possible. Julie is exuberant and invites the servant Jean to dance, who initially reacts dismissively. However, he cannot resist her advances for long, and they grow closer – leading to the utmost extremes. Immediately afterward, Jean drops the mask of the charming gallant and shows his brutal, calculating nature. Julie, in shock, gradually comprehends the gravity of her actions: Jean offers her a way out by trying to persuade her to flee together, but since he has no money, Julie must supply the funds. The theft from her father forces her to face the relentless truth of her complete downfall.
Love and power, self-assertion and submission, social status, role expectations, and their transgression: With cool precision, August Strindberg dissects in "Miss Julie" the complexity and antagonisms of gender relations.
In a custom text version, Judith Rosmair as Miss Julie and Dominique Horwitz as Servant Jean will be directed by Torsten Fischer on 10.20.24 at 7:30 PM at the Grand Riding Arena of the Welcome Hotel.

"A Common Trick"
Camille Dargus enjoys her life as an independent, wealthy woman. Occasionally, she indulges her passion for young waiters for a night. But that morning, after a party in her Soho loft, things go differently than planned, as the young man, Billy, also refuses to leave promptly for money. Soon, he reveals to Camille that he wants to blackmail her with a recording of their nighttime activities. To Billy's dismay, however, the world-weary businesswoman shows little sign of being impressed. But Billy still shows no intention of leaving, and Camille slowly realizes that he has other objectives. When she finally calls her guard, the situation escalates beyond her worst fears: Camille realizes that she must reveal the dark secrets of her past. But she is also a woman who should not be trifled with – a fight for life and death ensues.

"Christmas Concert A cappella"
The critically acclaimed five-member a cappella ensemble Apollo5 is one of the smallest yet most impressive vocal groups in Great Britain. The ensemble, consisting of a soprano, a mezzo-soprano, two tenors, and a bass, is named after the ancient Greek god of music and is known for its rich, dynamic sound. With a versatile approach to programming and a repertoire that ranges from the Renaissance through classical and contemporary choral works to folk, jazz, and pop, the five voices of the ensemble bring to life music from five centuries.
Since its founding, the ensemble has toured many European countries, the USA, and Asia. In addition to performances in renowned British concert halls like the Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, St John's Smith Square, and St Martin-in-the-Fields, the group has also completed extensive tours in Belgium, Germany, and France. Apollo5 is part of the VOCES8 Foundation and is involved in its innovative education program, including the Digital Academy. Along with the vocal ensemble VOCES8 and Paul Smith, they reach around 40,000 people worldwide each year.

"Goodbye, Lenin"

October 1989. Alex lives with his sister Ariane and his mother in East Berlin; his father moved "over" many years ago. Today, the GDR is celebrating its 40th birthday. As the mother heads to the celebrations, she sees her son being brutally arrested at a demonstration. She collapses, falling into a coma – for eight long months. She falls asleep under Honecker, missing everything: the fall of the wall, the first free elections, Kohl's welcome money. Meanwhile, Ariane has dropped out of school, is now grilling burgers for Burger King, and lives with her West boyfriend. Alex has become unemployed and sells satellite dishes from the West – will one wake up again?
"Goodbye, Lenin!" humorously and sensitively tells the story of the turn and its significance for the people. Here, euphoria and optimism collide with nostalgia and depression. It raises questions about what makes a person. What does home mean and what role does it play in well-being? What is a person and their work worth?
