Christoph Klimke: Eine Partitur aus Fährten
For decades, the Berlin writer Christoph Klimke has collaborated with the theater maker Hans Kresnik. A close friendship connected the two congenially. In addition to writing plays, opera librettos, stories, and essays, Klimke is primarily known as a lyricist. His poetry collection "Eine Partitur aus Fährten," released in autumn 2024, is said to have connections to Franz Kafka and Friederike Mayröcker, as well as parallels to Francis Bacon. The major themes of love, loss, life in the big city and nature, fears, clouds full of wishes, dreams, and also important artists who have accompanied Christoph Klimke throughout his writing life, appear here. The poems take us to Italy, Berlin, the tides of the northern sea, or the melting glaciers and the broken promise of eternity. The Drau and Christine Lavant also play their roles here. Poems are, Klimke says, puzzles to unravel the world. Christoph Klimke's work has been honored with the Ernst Barlach award, among others. His most important publications include the books "Kraft der Vergangenheit," regarding Pasolini's films (1986), "Stadtträumer" (1989, story), "Der Test oder: Chronik einer veruntreuten Seele" (1992, story), and "Wir sind alle in Gefahr. Pasolini - Ein Prozess." The Camping Orchester with Wolfram Karrer and Wolfram Stoll will perform.
