In 2020, the Cologne ensemble celebrated its 40th anniversary with a new program, which was extended until 2023 due to the pandemic. Thus, it was clear:
The time is ripe for new adventures from the shadow world. The result is the "Christmas Special." The Mobilés have once again staged a dazzling feast for the senses with their Moving Shadows. Loving, suffering, dancing, tumbling, poetic, and funny, they enchant their audience – in black, white, and color. Shadows that captivate the world.
They have fascinated, touched, and thrilled their audience since their founding. The highlight of many awards: Winning the French Super Talent in Paris.
At the world's largest comedy festival "Juste pour rire" in Montreal, Moving Shadows not only delighted the live audience and TV viewers but also the jury. They won two of a total of six awards, the "Creativity Award" and the audience award "Winner of Hearts." No other group has achieved this in the 40-year history of the festival.
At the end of 2022, they reached the finals of Italy's Got Talent and finished in second place by a very narrow margin.
Seven artists, one screen, plus light and music, is all it takes for a dreamlike journey. With delicate images, the artists, dancers, and pantomimes enchant their audience. The Moving Shadows create, with astonishing precision and stunning ease, a poetic sequence of images from flowing bodies, swirling energetically into the light and disappearing again into the mysterious depths of the space. Behind the screen, their bodies merge into landscapes, animals, and buildings; in front of the screen, the shadows enchant their audience. The virtuosic play of forms transports to a wonderful world and hits right in the heart.
