Bed of Roses - zum letzten Mal
Bed of Roses
Rock musical by Ingmar Otto
“We were young, constantly infatuated, and the world lay at our feet. Now we are old and should meet again” was written in the subject line of the email, its content merely: June 18 at Häwelmann, at eight, not after eight. Sender: Kloppi. Why not gather the old school band for the upcoming class reunion and truly let loose? Thus, the band members come together for a rehearsal for the big comeback of their band “Sunrisedown” at the old pub Häwelmann.
Much has changed. The self-confident bassist Falco has become stiff and cynical over time as a city employee, and the drummer Kloppi now preaches charity as a chaplain instead of roaming the streets all night. The guitarist Muckel now only calls himself Mike and has actually put his musician career on ice. His crush Tine is still a powerhouse through and through, but now as an emancipated family mother, she has her own problems to solve. The teenagers of back then have grown up.
But after the first notes, they can feel it again: the teen spirit – the scent of first love, spilled beer on sweaty t-shirts, and the anticipation of life after school wafts through Häwelmann once more. Only one thing is missing: Tamara, the fifth in the group, simply doesn’t show up…
